You're obviously way too worried about what other people think, why else would you tell hundreds of strangers you're quitting?

I hate to break it to you but you're not going to make it in F1 either.

Remeber its a GAME, we're not all Sebastien Vettel/Loeb. Everyone talks about how they got Gold in a race with all the drivers aids off and no traction control, so what. If I'm struggling with a race I'll turn them all on just to get it finished, so what.

I have the utmost respect and admiration for great drivers but I don't expect myself to be the best in the world, and then beat myself up about it because I'm never going to make it to Formulae one, or win the WRC 7 times.

Imagine if all the other WRC drivers said "**** it, I can't beat Sebastion Loeb, I'm quitting and trading in my car." Same goes for the 6 years Shoemaker was unbeatable.

If I was in the WRC I'd be honored to be able to compete against a Driver like Loeb, or to have shared a track with Ayrton Senna. As with anything in life, the race is long and in the end, it's only with yourself. If you stick with it and improve even a tiny bit, then you've won. Life is not about being better than other people, it's about being better than yourself.

I don't know how old you are but, for your own good, take a spoonful of cement and harden the **** up.
 
I am half glad the licenses arent required to enter races.
I golded up to IC, havnt even bothered to do the others. After IC-10 and Noticing how useless these license tests were at anything but causing my own frustration I simply exited.

So now I am level 29 Aspec and 36 Bspec with only 30 license golds.

Might never finish the license tests until I need them for the last few Trophies.
 
The Bronze Age ain't got nothing on me and all the 3rd place finishes I've racked up in license tests. I just got them out the way and really couldn't give a flying flip about them. I see getting gold as the VERY LAST thing I do in this game IF I even do that.
 
As I was reading this post and trying to come up with a response, I farted. It smelled so badly, almost like week old eggs, that I though I'd share that instead.

Same for me. Every now and then I go back to the tests to see if I can improve some. Sometimes I turn a bronze into a silver, sometimes a silver into a gold. At some point I'll nail them all I'm sure but I'm not in a hurry. Bronze is enough for everything except ego / bragging rights :)

I do think bronze is very doable for anyone really with a bit of practice and persistence. I'm really not all that great but I had no trouble getting at least bronze on all of them.

It's a shame you feel this way. I have hardly even bothered with the license tests so far and I couldn't care less about how much I've completed. I just enjoy the feel and sights and experience of driving. I tried the historic car cup about 10 times over in a car that wasn't up to the speed, and watched most of the replays between each attempt, just soaking up how well they've captured the atmosphere of racing. I was beaming!

If >I< can pull it off, anyone can. Don't get too frustrated. It gets harder. ;) I'm on test 9 of the S license and, while still fun, it's not very forgiving. Set the game aside for a while or do something else in-game. You'll be okay.
 
Man, that first turn in IA-10 with the Lambo is hell oO
I tried it ten times just to get it right (and by right, I mean drifiting around it in the two laps and overtaking the cars on the outside =D)

Just keep trying, I tried it 1 hour and a half, but I got gold on it
Just practice =D

not a perfectionist(I got bronze for most of them) but why give up, it's not like you have to do the lisence tests just enjoy the game and stop acting like a 3 year old

very... as i hadnt realised the license tests were not like in previous gt games... and mt faith was restored just went and bought a Nissan GT-R V Spec II(R32) '94 and won the Japanese championship in the Expert Hall.... man i love Monza......
 
My Audi flipped from a crash and the bumper came off. I quit and now trading my game in because the bumper broke off.

Im my opinion the license of GT4 where harder to get in gold then GT5
