ummm, I posted and now it says my posts are by Jon, the super moderator. Why is this? My name also appears twice in the active user list at the bottom of the thread. This is very strange. Does it in multiple threads, too!

Even this says it's posted by jon! This is Event Horizon! I'm trapped in Jon's body! heeeeeelp!!! :scared:

Did you try logging out, cleaning your temp internet files, and logging back in again?

It's working now! I saw this happening to other members, too! I didn't do anything. I never logged in or out. It just happened and then went back to normal.

This is unbelievable...I can't think of any logical explanation for this. The posts you submitted while affected by this bug are still credited to Jon! I'm going to contact the vB developers about this right away.

It's weird because for me it says that you are Event Horizon as an active user in this thread and on the main page where it says Posted By:. Otherwise you are Jon, BTW it’s the repercussions of this.

EDIT: In the 10 minutes it took me to type this up all these posts appeared! Sorry.

It happened 3 times in a row in a GT4 thread....

I just noticed this. A sticky made by NeonDuke in the GT1 forum, has the 'thread starter' as askia47

Dude, Jordan, the database is out of wack. You may want to shut things down until you get it ironed out. Save yourself from having too many more problems to fix later.

Hey, i'm Jon too. :)
:scared: :sly:
You guys should've really taken advantage of the situation - afterall, Jon is a SuperMod.. You could've played God here at GTP

It's not a case of being logged on as another user. The database is just getting bad information. It's not like they have super mod "powers".

Am I the only one whom it has crosed thier mind that perhaps this has something to do with the deletion of "jon"? thats jon by the way not Jon. check out the "Two Jon's" thread

as it was stated the pre VB format site allowed usernames to be differentiated by case. thats why we had two jon's. (Jon and jon) Vb however dosent support such case sensitivity, although both users were caried over. jon was causing problems for Jon and as an inactive user for nearly three years jon was deleted. perhaps due to VB not supportibng it to begin with deletion of one jon could have screwed up the other and\or confused the program and caused this mishap.

just an idea.

It would no longer cause confusion though, because one jon is deleted. If it was going to make the program confused it would have happened with 2 jon's because they would have conflicted.

Jon
Wow I just came across this sweet. Thanks for the posts guys.
 Now was that actually you, Jon? Or was it EH again?
