I'm suddenly ranked S/S

And not just me, as you can see. A few hours ago I was a lowly B/S and I didn't race today.
I guess it has something to do with the FIA Manufacturer series because I chose McLaren and hardly anybody else did so according to the rankings I'm McLaren's 4th best driver.

I also got an invite to the Star Player thing. I immediately signed up before they realize they made a mistake and withdrew the invitation

Anyway, anybody know what's going on?

DR S is that Star Player Rating, you need to be under the 10 best of your country/manufacturer or under the best 200 of all in your region. Thats why you qualified for Star Player Rating.

I think the whole DR/SR rating system is "BS", & the penalty system along with it!

Nice! I went to the site to find out that I also got an invitation. I think I was 10th or 11th overall in Belgium and top 20 in the manufacturer series overall. Combined I was the 1st in Belgium (Peugeot).
I think it helps a lot if you picked a manufacturer that isn't used that much like Porsche, Nissan,...
So now I went from A/S to S/S.
I wander what will heapen when S2 finishes... will I drop back to DR A or maybe A+? A+ would seem a bit unfair to me.

you will drop back, if you are not able to hold your "Status" (Top 200, Top 10 Country / Top 10 Manufacturer)

… so only activ FIA competitiors are able to get the Status!

Fair enough I only did 2 of the 4 races so normally I should be able to improve a bit. Looks like all races will be on wednesdays and fridays. Ik think I will be able to do 4 of them. So no jokers for me again

Wednesday and Saturday, not Friday yeah 4 out of 8 during July is a bummer... That is a lot of time spent on gaming in July... Not to mention to have the best chances it's good to attend all 8 races.

It is just an S over your current DR anyway. Your current DR is kept, you can see it Kudosprime for example.

I wonder, is there anyone with DR B is in TOP 200 or TOP 10 from country/manufacturer? Because it looks like my A+ was just replaced with S and my DR points are still the same... So A/S players that are eligible for Star membership are S/S now too? Same goes for B/S?

S rank is not a permanent and it applies only for the next season. I think this is done this way so active players can join top 24 races.

Yes, that was what i meant with my comment above. You just get an DR S over your current DR. If you managed to get the eligibility criterias for S Rank, you can get it, not matter the DR.

They made DR S even more meaningless than what it was but I think it’s nice if it motivates B/S and A/S players to invest more time in the game to get faster. Grids will look funny with DR S all over the place.

Easy strategy is to pick the least popular manufacturers and get a Top 10 in your region for that brand and you get S/S.

you can argue, a B/S should not deserve this… but in the end, if he qualifies for Superstarstatus, he ALSO deserve it.

There are only 400 Players per Region who will hold this… even less than People with A+/S...

There are less than 400 A+ players in our region. I mean it’s going to be complicated when you do dailies to know the strength of the field if B/S drivers have DR S. We have many S/S now in our team so I can’t complain too much. It just feels like they keep trying to find ways to not rank players based on their true skills.

DR system is flawed but it just got more messy. There will be a bunch of rant threads when people revert back to their true DR in a few weeks. PD works in mysterious ways.
