It is clear that a number of drivers are still refusing to submit their replays. :grumpy:

One of the biggest sins in OLR is to get a DQ (disqualification), and yet some drivers don't appear to be bothered by this fact. I was hoping that those drivers who weren't accustomed to OLR rules at the beginning of this event would eventually fall into line by learning the importance of following them. Unfortunately this hasn't been the case.

Therefore, as of now, any driver who receives two DQ's for non submission of a replay will be removed from the event unless a valid reason is given before the race deadline, the excuse of being too busy or that you forgot is not good enough at this level of competition. If you have the time to run the event and time to submit your lap time, then you have enough time to submit your replay.

Well, about me and Sutil_Gigi5 i would like to say as discharge that the only one time that happened it was my fault for not keeping myself informed as i should have.

I would apreciate and i think it should be fairer if it starts counting from race 3, becausse it was during race 2 when changes were done and there was a bit of confussion.

I think as well that even if you decide to do as i sugest, i should keep my DQ becausse as captain of a team i have no excuse.

Hi mister!

I have a problem my play station 3 is fixing...

The lector stops, it broke.

4-7 weeks to repair it...

I say goodbye to the IFCT...

And I am very sad...

I try to play in a friend's play station and upload the replay, but i think that i can't participate in all races.

It is counting from race 03. 👍

The list is simply highlighting the high and unacceptable amount of DQ's so far.

There were no changes made during race 02.

I'm not 100% sure what you're implying, but yes, this is just a game, but it's also a game that we take very seriously.

The rule has been in place since race 1. It is only now that I have decided to enforce this rule for the remaining races because it is out of control and therefore something has to be done about it.

I believe we need a translator?

Could be, i beg you pardon but at the begining of the whole event on the spanish forum we were all convinced that you have to upload the time before deadline but replay could be uploaded later on and that changed same time the points stuff did.

Actually one of the reasons becausse i´m sutil captain´s and Rootbe the one of GTros is becausse we can speak and understand an almost decent english.

I'm sorry, but you're mistaken, we sent out a reminder of the rule, not a rule change.

We did however make an exception to this rule for Race 01 only (5 days grace) because we felt that some drivers were still not aware of the rule because they had not been informed by their Captains, that is why we asked baxnimis to make sure all Captains were aware.

All replays must be submitted within 5 days of the results being published here at GTPlanet. This is for Race 01 only in order to accommodate any misunderstanding and changes to the rules. If you want to play the game. You’ve got to follow the rules.​

People like Sphinx are sacrifice a lot of their spare time to organize this events. And it is an absolute shame that people how want to participate don’t follow the rules. You must be a shame of your self’s. I have no other word for it.

Sphinx (and all the other Moderators). A big thank you for the great work you’ve done. There are a lot of guys how really appreciate what you do. 👍

I did not insinuate that you were uneducated. I was simply asking for help in translation so that we could sort out this misunderstanding.

You are right mate but I think some changes were necessary to better the championship. But we made those changes at the early stages of the championship, later we had some communication and/or notification problems but I think now we all well know and agree with actual rules

I don't think it's some shame on rootbe: he's only asking why if someone hadnt submit 2 replays would be disqualified.
There are lot of reasons someone do not submit the replay, maybe out for work, maybe does not remember, maybe he doesn't care (shame on him :D ). We don't know why.
Maybe we can DQ that driver but why SHAME ?
 
The rule about every driver submitting a replay has been there from the start and we really should be living by that rule. By participating this competition you are agreeing with the rules, so here shouldn't be any fuzz about this at all. 👍 Can't really see what the problem is. In my mind by not submitting a single replay you should be out immediately. The workload that some people here go through for the competition and for us all to have a good, fair, clean and fun event is enormous and for that only we really should honor all the rules.

From the point that this competition started it has changed dramatically for the better. It really would have been a mess without Jerry (Sphinx) taking it under his wings and making it a really professional and as simple as possible. 👍 👍 👍 for Jerry and baxnimis & the rest of the crew. I don't think anyone could have managed it better.

We've been keeping a log of all rule changes and race specifics for this series.

Not counting the reset of the first event (clarification on legal boundaries of the track), there have been exactly 4 changes:
1) scoring was changed from a top 30 system to a top 100 system
2) team scoring was extended from top 5 of each team to top 7
3) for the first race only, deadline to post a replay was extended by 5 days from the event end
4) from race 5 onwards, failure to upload a replay twice will result in removal from the competition

The regulation requiring that replays be posted as times are submitted (and thus, replays must be posted prior to event end), has been in force since the first race.

As administrators, every time a rule is violated, it takes our time to deal with it. This new regulation will hopefully help to reduce this load. Uploading a replay is a fairly simple process, is required for verification of times anyway, and the vast majority of racers are doing it successfully. Weeding out repeat offenders will improve the quality of the series as a whole.

Also, I would remind all racers that participation is voluntary. If you do not like the rules, the car, or the track, you don't have to run the event or submit a time.

Firstable, i would like to apologise for any misunderstood and give my most sincerely thanks to all the people involved on the organisation of this event.

Partly becausse traslation and partly probably for reading only the first lines we got mistaken.

About the change of rules, i guess nobody thought this was going to be so huge and something had to be changed. Next time it will be better for sure.

And on my particular case i can promisse you that not uploading the replays it wasn't any attempt of cheating or misrespecting anyone.

Indeed, everytime i see that 0 on the 2nd race for Sutil i swear on my mother´s bones it won´t happen again.

I've been involved in the past making this kind of competitions and I know how hard and time consuming this demands, I know as well that changing rules "on the fly" aren't often good and usually aren't taken as good as the organizers would like but I know too that sometimes is needed to take a major statement for that success.

I completely agree with the new rule but I've a doubt, are those DQ's in the past (race 4 included) taking count for the two DQ's needed to be removed from the event? If so, that would be unfair because maybe someone is already removed from the event.

thank you for your kind and understanding words. 👍

No one on the list will be removed from the event, unless they again fail to supply a replay in the remaining races.

I would like to add that this is not a rule change, it is simply an attempt to uphold an existing rule that has been in place since the beginning. In terms of upholding rules, I have been very lenient compared to the normal standard that is expected here. It was only today that I felt that something had to be done to address the problem of so many unacceptable DQ's
 
I will say I did consider not uploading my replay and deleting my time for round 4 when I saw I was in 6000th place at the deadline :p

I think i cannot get better laps becausse my feet are to cold to feel the pedals.
