I think that if a company wants to demonstrate it's products on a static car for shows, then it's fair enough. In my opinion, a more effective way of demonstrating their products would be to show them being used on the limit (and many companies do), but unfortunately the masses prefer the eye-candy and that's where these companies make their money. So, who can really blame them?

But, for a personal car I agree that to have so many modifications done that in theory it's the fastest thing on four wheels yet it never moves is pretty ridiculous and defeats the whole objective of tuning a car in the first place.
