Thought I'd bring a bit of interest back in this thread...

Looks like an average, boring Corolla...

With some VTEC motivation. :D

Something looks different with that 240SX, though I can't quite point to what it is... might be the fact there's an RB26 in the engine bay, but I'm not sure.

Well, some 240SX owners are actually consider putting a RB engine in their Siliva. It has been done before and was a sucess. The only thing is that most of the RB engine put inside the 240sx are either the RB20DET or RB25DET. Those are cheaper than the RB26DETT and therefore a better buy. Some owners who have done those swaps says that the straight line speed is good but it feels different and the balance is totally off.

With that said, more 240SX owner likes to go with the SR20DET. Because its cheaper than the RB series and "its more balanced." But a RB20DET wouldn't cost that much more than a SR20DET, not sure about the exact pricing but it won't cost that much more.

RB engines in 240SX are rare. On the otherhand the SR20DET are a dime of a dozen. They are very common in tuned up 240SX. If you go to a 240SX board/ and or Nissan board, most 240SX owner have a SR swap and/or planning to get one.

EDIT: As for the AE86, I do not know if its the same one, but I saw it in a Best MOTORing video with a S2000's engine. F20C I think, not that good with the S2000 engine code. Anyways it had the F20C and the transmission from the S. Including all the gauges and etc.

It was quite speedy but the swap was expensive and not wise, unless they want to go all out show car. Of course you don't run into a Hachiroku with a F20C a lot. But I wouldn't do it. Over 10G for an engine swap alone is monsterous.

cool swap never seen that done b4 people put some crazy engines in those lil AE86's seen sura engines 2 and 3 rotor and now a s2k engine. yeah looks like a rb26/25 :o and looks like a rb25 sitting under that s15 aswell.

any 1 ever put the F20c in a teg or a civic? i know of a few escort RS's and a think a few fiesta's here in the UK that are RWD alot of work but when there finished alot of fun:D

There's one guy in Montreal who put an F20 in an EG Civic hatch, with a custom made driveshaft/diff assembly, etc. Aside looking fragile, the owner decided to build it as a show car. The only time I've seen it at the track, it ran a 14.9, which is pathetic.

Sure is. I hope its the driver that is slow and not the car. I know for a fact that the swap most cost a lot due to all the goodies he put in it.

I would rather save up and get a S2000.

what a waste any pics of it?engine bay underside **** it just any :)

14.9...Damn...either it's a horrible driver...or horrible gears in the back....A F20C'd RWD civic should be running low 14's no problem..
As for the AE86 + F20C....as I said when it was brought up in another post...
The epitomy of a "We did it because we could" car..
I'd personally like to see a 1jz-gte in a Fc3S......That would be one fun car..

yeah..No need for huge mufflers on an already muffled sounding car.........I'd take some stock lookin borla tips over 2 N1 bombshells hanging out the back of ANY car..

and that paint job looks quite crappy..
