Really? I haven't seen much VW's with roof racks, to be honest.. Most VWs I've seen are super low, and super clean.

It was popular with the rusted hood look that VWvortex liked so much, which spread to BF.c when late 80's and mid 90's BMW's got cheap enough for the VW mindset. It goes in the basket with steel wheels, white walls, and other stupid crap most VW "tuners" seem to come up with. Stanceworks tends to be a bit cleaner but the roof rack is still an accessory for "style," often times with worthless crap strapped to it.

Example...

A GTI? NOOOO!!!!! It's one thing on a MKI, but it's just revolting on a MKV. Especially when you paint the plastic grille rust.

Also, I think roof racks are awesome. I think every Subaru should be required to have one on at all times.

Also, Joey, with that stance and color scheme and lights, I don't think it's possible for the roof rack to not look good.

So what you're telling me is I need to hurry my ass up and put the Cooper on coilovers?

I'll shut up now and post a picture:

I think having one that can run the 1/4 mile faster than I can jog would be more important. Get an S, then get parts.

I'm not allowed to have a fast car, I have a hard enough time with getting pulled over now. I can't imagine what it would be like if I owned something moderately fast. Plus the S is over priced for what you get, if I was going to get a sport compact I'd look elsewhere.

Right now I'm just going for looks, I know my car is slow and there is no sense trying to make it fast. The only reason I'd want coilovers is to lose the 4x4 look it's got going on. I could get drop springs but then I'm buying struts every 10,000 miles per what others have said. Doing struts twice a year sounds awful.

You mean the shocks in the struts... since the springs would replace the OEM springs in the strut assembly. And this is why you'd get, I dunno, different shocks too like Konis or something.

The sooner the better!

I guess I really shouldn't be talking, owning the other 4x4 status hatchback around here.

Weighs around the same as your average 4x4, too. :p

Bumpers and skirts are only allowed to flare out like that if the fenders flare flush with them. Otherwise, damn that's hot.

S202 front lip, wheels and an actual Spec-C functionnal roof scoop? Hell yes.

Nice tire choice. How many car shows has he parked it at again?

The caption says "Lancia Delta S4 Group S" but I did some research and it looks nothing like it.

Is that where the intake is? The front mount intercooler kind of eliminates the need for a hood scoop there. Turbo Subarus have them because that's where the intercooler normally goes.

he said roof scoop not hood scoop.

Oh look its a drift car with a stripper pole...

Taking a guess, I never knew there was a Mugen NSX. It looks good except for the wheels.

EDIT: Double post by accident. sorry!

Yes, because you need R-Comps on a daily driver...

What the hell is up with that roof scoop? Not liking the Rocket Bunny/Tra Kyoto 6666 aerokit for the S14, either...

I think I like the kit but the roof scoop looks exactly like one that is in NFS underground.
