It takes me time for parts for my car that I'm building and it's been 10 years and 15,000 later, and I'm still not done with it.
But it does take time to get the parts and I've never used credit cards to make purchases.
I've always saved up like PB and once the money is there, usually buy what I'm wanting with no compromises.
Most don't have the patience to sit on the money and save for what they really want. I used to be like that but have changed over the last few years.
I've become patient when it comes to buying things over the last few years. I've never put a large purchase on my credit card, I always pay with cash when I have it. I've learned to save money from wasting it in the past, and from being unemployed multiple times in the last year or so. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Despite being unemployed for half of 2009 I ended up buying more stuff and taking more vacations that year than I have in 10 years before, and I still had more money than ever just from clever saving and being stingy.
