Stunning car, livery & mods. Any more of this beast?

If you can get you hands on it, Hot Version Vol. 104 has (very) short feature on it, including onboard with Orido taking it around Suzuka for a flying lap. It makes an immense sound.

Vol. 104 trailer. The 5Zigen NSX Looks even better than in the photos.

Jeez. What the hell are they running in that Europa for the tyres to need to be that size?

The tag says "LM 350," which may mean the 3.5 V8 from the Esprit...

I know these aren't cars, but they are popular amongst imports. :p

Update on your car?

Do you have facebook?

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Hinson-Motorsports-Inc/171928832838634

Hinson's periodically posting news, and there's a small album for the car there.

Latest word is that the turbo setup will be finished and on the car before the end of January.

Newer pic of the built LS2 with their headers for the kit in place:

The car's been started up NA with those headers. It's getting prepped for the turbo setup at the moment... should be tuned and on its way home before summer.

Heh. MGB goes full circle. The original MGBs with V8s (the MG RV8, produced between 93 and 95) used the Rover V8, which was originally based on a Buick engine... so from one GM unit to another! Nice project though, and MGB GTs have always been great looking cars.

This one has had the suspension completely re-done as well. Full custom front subframe and rear suspension mounting points using Miata suspension.

Some great stuff there speed junkie 👍

The GTA is owned by one of the owners of Alfaholics... there's more details of the build here...

http://www.alfaholics.com/our-cars/restoration-project/

An Alfaholics GTA would go straight on my shopping list if I ever won the lottery... at £80k for a fully built car they are a bit beyond my budget at the mo! You can have them built with 200bhp+ 2.0l 16v twin sparks and trick suspension... make very, very nice historic race cars.

I dont really like the look of the front tbh, they shouldnt have sprayed that grill red, it looks like they couldnt be bothered to mask it off and i think it would look better with a front bumber.....

Speed Junkie

Just about perfect in every way. Like Stotty, near the top of my 'when I'm rich' list, perhaps alongside a 156 to replace my poor dead one..

Also, the DTM E30 would look nice alongside it, though I'd do nicely without that X6 :yuck:

Some great Alfa's for sale at Alfaholics...

Genuine 1971 GTAm Race Car... 235bhp

GTAm-front-left.jpg

Replica 1972 GTAm race car... €70k cheaper than the genuine one above

You are no longer welcome here!

Regarding front bumpers on 70's cars... when I were a lad (way back) the first thing I did to a car when I got it was remove the bumpers... this happened to a Hilman Avenger GT, a MK2 Escort 1600 Sport and a Datsun 160J SSS... I always thought they looked much better without them.

Of course that's just not possible now everything has huge plastic bumpers that are part of the front end.

Better for aerodynamics on cars of that era, too. I think the Giulia looks great with or without a front bumper, though racing versions certainly suit not having one.
