B13s are sprightly little things. What kind of tires were on it?

Borrowed a set of wheels with Hankook RS-2's on them and set my best time with those. Although I borrowed another set of wheels from work with some Nitto NT-01's mounted on them and they felt great....until the rears started rubbing in the turns really bad. Never completed a lap. :guilty:

Keef
M-Spec, this guy just took a major dump on you...

The tires are why the stock SE-R beat your Civic. It's all about the tires man. That's why getting a baseline with the tires of your choosing is the first step - tune the suspension from there. You shouldn't need to stagger anything to get pretty good handling, especially with a Civic.

The Civic was on Falken RT-615's. Sorry, forgot to mention that.

That I thought that the "Exige" name was first used on this style body:

Not on the older style such as the MS Elise:

So right now the way I understand it is that the first Exiges manufactured actually had the older style body, not the newer style such as the first pic I posted(?)

You got it. Both types of Elise have their Exige counterparts.

I've always loved those Gram Lights. They always look amazing on a 350Z no matter what color the car is. 👍 I saw a cambered out S14 the other day around my neighborhood with them equipped and the car looked pretty great, too.

I don't think I've ever seen any photos of your car. What do you have done to it? What gen Civic?

I don't have the car anymore. Unfortunately I had to sell it as I was unemployed for a bit and needed the extra cash to live off of. Not much was done to it, I bought it with a gutted interior and dropzone coilovers on it. Most of the work that was done was repair work. (timing belt after the water pump failed, etc) My only real modifications were the wheels and tires, EX transmission swap and de-powering the steering rack.

There were a couple in my area, one of which is emblazoned on the back of the car there with a white decal. That was my local canyon carving club's slogan. Trouble was it was in a national park, so we had to wait until after 1am to go up there, or fear the wrath of the park rangers/sheriff. :(

Hah I noticed the Colorado plate but not the sticker. I'd like to take a look at that road on GMaps if you wouldn't mind (link?.) Theres a road around here and virtually free of authorities as it's on the VA WV border  No "driving" club though, just a bunch of bikers in the summer and a couple friends.

Just Google Maps "Grand Junction Colorado" and look for the Colorado National Monument just south of town. The one stretch we used over and over is fairly short and on the East side of the monument. But occasionally we would run the whole road from one entrance gate in the West, all the way to the East entrance gate with is a good 19+ mile trip. :)

Edit: Here's a link to that place. "Monument Road" is the one you want to follow. 👍
