My opinion on this is that you can't lower a Miata too far without destroying the handling. And well, there you have it.

I drove my friends that's dumped on it's nuts and although it rubs a little, I think it's still pretty good.

Something that has to do with the control arms not being parallel with the ground adds bump steer.

yeah, no kidding. I'd be very cautious to not lean on the thing too much if I were that guy, especially when his co-worker is laying underneath the car.

As do I. Wonder how difficult it would be to get one imported, esp. after the recent Skyline-issues.

With the money that it will take to get it imported Stateside ( especially Cali). I would get a Hatchback with those S-15 headlights and a SR20 swapped. ( probably put on hold for DMV issues and tow it to the track)
Otherwise, build everything on the KA or have another motor waiting to be swapped in.
