The whole write up can be found here, clicky.

Saw pictures of that car from Import Alliance yesterday. I'm surprised there hasn't been a big influx of trash cars from there.

Wanna see something that looks completely retarded?

Somebody slap that man in the mouth for being stupid. That car looks absolutely terrible. I would make fun of the owner and his car to his face.

240's are never too low.

This man speaks the truth.

Actually, lowering a 240sx more than 2 inches or so (which still leaves a 3 finger wheel gap) screws the suspension geometry, so basically it pretty much comes down to having a car that looks stock, or lowering it to where it looks right. At that point, the suspension is done anyway, so might as well make it look cool.

For reference, this is a 240sx on KW Variant 3s.

Anything more than this and the suspension arms have gone past parallel, and proper geometry is impossible without lots of adjustable suspension pieces.

Anyway, I present one of maybe 10 good looking Onevias.

WTF. That car is swirl-city.
It's also factory paint from 1993 or so. Good enough.

EDIT: Honestly it's not bad, that looks like pretty much any car that has been buffed before and hasn't been waxed in a while. Bad swirls look like:

Introducing Joe Gore and Kevin Cornett. I have the great fortune of being acquainted with them. Bwag is in there somewhere.

Hell it can't be that complicated can it? Custom mounts, custom drive shaft, custom harness, megasquirt, done. If the diff blows up get a new one.

They were waiting for all the subframe pieces from V8 Roadsters who had to find a donor vehicle first, then do all the fab work between customer builds. FM finally got the pieces they needed last week, so the work on their car is continuing. And they don't use Megasquirt for the ECU. It's actually a re-flashed ECU they get from GM, along with all of the necessary wiring. I'm sure they'll use the same differential (Cadillac CTS) as the other cars.

Edit: Project log here.

That one looks pretty much perfect to me height wise.
