👍 Great stuff guys! Never 'liked' so many posts on a page before

Pretty sure the Robin Hamilton Astons that Heldenzeit posted were the same car - just heavily modified over the years.

Page 937! 924 Carrera GT was known as the 937.

Esprit Super Saloon?

This is one that a good friend of my dad and uncle raced. When the DRM (precursor to the DTM) came to the UK in 1980 for a one off race, he entered it against all the 'works' Zakspeed Capri's, Joest 935 Porsches and Schnitzer BMWs etc. He qualified 4th and lead until a plug issue made him drop out. In car literally built in a farm shed.

The esprit was later bought by another friend of theirs who re-bodied the chassis with a Skoda-looking shell. A popular body style used in the latter years of Special Saloons, due to it being one of few mid-engined saloon cars around.

(Not sure if any of the above Skodas are that one mentioned)

So, those are kinda... sponsored by Fuji Speeedway? I mean, sponsored so they can be built, not raced?
More like fully supported, so they were created in cooperation with Sekiya Masanori and the circuit. It's basically Pro/Am endurance racing.

340hp 4 litre TOM'S tuned V6, 10,000 RPM, 1100kg, carbon monocoque with the tube frame/roll cage constructed around it, Yokohamas specifically designed for the series, Cosworth/Ricardo 6-speed paddle-shift.

Yeah, I like the entirety of that. Link to something?
