Dude, that is AWESOME. It was only a matter of time before tuners got bored of throwing BNR34 front bumpers onto Stageas.
I just wasted a whole day looking at that pos corolla. I left town at about 8am and get to chicago around 10am. I waited till 1pm to get a call from this guy and another half hour for him to get to where he wanted to meet up at. The guy was the biggest DB in the world and he lied his ass off on the phone. I get there at it was an SR5 with a shoddy engine swap, the rear diff needed to be rebuilt, the trunk and floor board were rotted through despite him claiming 99% rust free. He wouldn't even let me drive the thing. I went on a ride in it then my friend did and it ended up dying. The guy claimed it ran out of fuel but it was an engine issue. We just left before the guy even got back.
I'm going to assume teams have the right to keep their engines secret in Super Touring, correct? I've never seen an engine cover as plain as that; a carbon fibre "box".
yeah thats the one. I thought it was an SR5 with a swap but I'd be ok with that if it was well done. I'm not really looking for something that needs everything right now and that thing needed that and then some.
I registered for that site. Thanks for the heads up. Could you link me a pic it won't let me view until I post.
Pretty sure that's the sump.
Pity that the airbox is covering up the motor
Pity that the airbox is covering up the motor, it would have been good to see underneath and also, does anyone know what the big, silver canister in the engine bay is for?
By the end of the 90s the SuperTourers were quicker around a track than the early 90s 400bhp+ DTM cars so they can't be too slow...
I have a magazine which did a story on this car. It has pics of whats lurking under the hood. If no one can find any on the net, I'll scan them in if you like.
Cause you have people like matt neal driving them who doesn't care if he puts it in a wall mainly![]()
I had a possible life-changing experience yesterday. Now I'm requesting pictures of performance-tuned and/or racing Miatas plz.
