Ok, I am looking for some feedback. My coworker and I are talking about GT3, and how good we each are. We have yet to race against each other, we will be hopefully within a month one weekend.

So his favorite car to drive is the Civic Spoon. I had the car in my garage and never though much of it. I just tried it out the other day. It seems like a pretty good FF car. I had no clue it revs to 15K, and handles nicely.

My favorite car has been the Subaru 22B. It's fully modded, 590hp, and I have tuned the suspenion a decent amount. It is a quick beast, and 4WD.

So, he wants to race me obn Seattle and Trial Mtn. His two favorite courses. Ok, I enough Trial Mtn, and am soso to Seattle.

Our other coworker has seen him race and was pretty amazed at his strategy with the Spoon, and got killed.

So what do you think? I know a lot of factors come in to play, but say we are both equally skilled, and tuned each car to our liking. (Did a little 0-1000m test: 22B was 19 sec, Spoon was 24 sec) (Fastest trial lap in the 22B around Tokyo was 1:38.088, havent gotten to testing the spoon yet)

Who should be the winner on a 2/5lap race around each of the tracks? You think it will be close or a blowout? Im looking for opinions on what people think.

As much as I love the Civic Type-R, I gotta say that an fully-modded Impreza 22B will outperform the Spoon Civic in almost every area. The way I could see the Civic winning is if the driver could not handle all that horsepower in the Impreza. But I'm sure you have mastered that vehicle and can handle it through any situation.

Now if you raced both the cars completely stock, it would be a much closer race. Besides, the Spoon Civic is already tuned for high performance.

Stock for stock, I would have to agree. It would be a lost closer.

I guess one way for me to tell would be to race the civic around as well and compare times.

The one deciding factor is how good is my opponent, I know he is good, but how good.

If you can't beat a Civic in a 590Bhp Scooby, you seriously need to go back to the License tests ;) You should go in circles around that thing !...

I would have to agree on that...

Real life is another story. Buddy in his 80hp cicvic hatch kills me and my 170hp impreza when we autox. That is more of a testament of skill, but put him in my car or anything more powerfull, and he just gets insanely fast.

Good luck friend. :(
The civic stands no chance. :D

The impreza gets some handling over the civic thanks to 4wd instead of front-wheel-drive.

Then the impreza gets hp and torque advantages.

Fact is, the impreza is a moster lol.

If you can tune the impreza (settings) then it will be even faster.

Good luck, but like I said, the impreza will always win that race.

yeah i have to say the 22 is going to get you but i would not put the spoon down that bad i was watching initial D lol i know i know but anyways the Ek9 is a coo car so i decided to try and tune it and ran into many problems with the suspension and tranny but after a while i got some awesome settings and well this is the ek9 from the sales floor it has all the custom parts but when it comes to power i only put the N/A stage 2 upgrade N/A power lol so it's only making around 285-290hp i belive i know under 300hp and i went to complex string and ran a 4'36.xxx do you guys think that is a good time?

Btam.. periods.. sentences... paragraphs... are your friends :indiff:

I've run both cars, and the 22B is a few seconds faster than the Civic, even at only 480 so HP... so yeah...

If you want to see who's the better driver (or just want a more fair race) tune both cars to the same power-to-weight ratio ... it's near the bottom when you look at the cars' specs in your garage. 👍

Don't underestimate the Civic! I've done alot of crazy things when I go up against stronger cars using my Civic. I go for the Civic since I love the underdog...shame on you to use your 590HP 22B against a little four cylinder hehehe :)

I suggest for the course your not so good at set the car to have more going ot the rear wheels than the front. Might make you corner better.

you cant forget that the subbie is also a 4 cyl. its just that the CTR is a I4, and the 22B is a Boxer4...

Oh right how could I forget :) still I'd root for the CTR! I have a soft spot for FF cars.

I'd say with the right driver, the Impreza would win, but that Spoon is great for it's HP...

I don't know....4 wheel drive cars are great with off the line acceleration off the bat but like FF cars they turn like a brick if not handled right. FF's with a one way LSD could bite the line better. Plus the CTR's lightweight is it's obvious advantage at the corners. The Subaru may rule the straights but if the CTR plays it's cards right he could catch to him on the corners.

i dont think so, if they run T8 tires 590hp is enough for the 4wd to handle while cornering with out understeering, with good suspension /VCD / LSD settings it should out perform the CTR in corners. Ive run fully moded R34 (1072hp) with T8 and you could tell the 4WD couldnt handle the power but less than about 650hp with T8's the 4WD will be a quick car.

If you want to see whos better both choose an arcade car and run a track and compare your times.

as much as i love my spoon ctr im going to have to say the scoobie would win. BUT if your playing him on his tracks and your not careful im thinking he could pull off a win (on seattle). but yeah the spoon ctr is a great car and performs well.

Agreed :) the Spoon is a fast car either way you look at it. Still the WRX is a monster! But it would be great if the Spoon could edge out a win....it's all about balance.

if you want to stay FF hope into a Honda Intergra Type R, those things can haul ass.

I like the ITR alot! It's got more torque than the CTR but the Civic feels more light and sporty in a dogfight. I guess it's just my personal preference :)
