Well, the subaru beat the lancer to 50 votes in round 1. But now can it beat the skyine? Find out. Same rules. First to 50 wins. When it looks like one has won. I will tell you what it will be facing in the next round.

STi is definitly better off road and on road. Although I admit, the Skyline is fun and fast on road, I still love the STi. STi VS MR test coming soon. :)
 
Dude this is hard. Even I own a STI but Skyline is top of the line sport car out of Japan. You just have to respect the GT-R :nervous:
 
Subaru. Same reason as last thread. Anything with Subaru Impreza will be my vote.
 
You cannot compare a 4 door, 2 liter 4 cylinder turbo car to a 2.6 I6 Twin Turbo coupe??? Thats like comparing a Porsche Boxster to a Koenseingg

what would be interesting would be a comaprison that doesnt involve scoobs, lancers, or skylines...
maybe something euro
 
Skyline. Not because it's a Skyline, but I find its behaviour on tarmac less irritating than the Scooby... but that depends which Skyline you're running, though.
 
Skyline is build on a RWD based 4wd system, Impreza is built on a fwd based system. Nuff said. Skyline has the engine round the proper way so it wins by default.
 
If we're basing it on handling in the game i'd have to give it to the scoober... on the track it can carve corners like heck and is fun to set adrift... the GTR however... if we are talking about the R34.. understeers... horribly, the ATTESSA is modeled poorly and is a ***** no drive... on the strip it's still the scoob that wins because my Spec-C did the 1/4 in 8.144 and my old GTR - N1 only does 9.3 (take note the GTR is my all time favorite car)

subbies definately don't handle better than GTR's, I find the subaru understeers a hell of a lot more plus is more unpredictable - much as the Evo is. In real life a GTR would rip all kinds of holes in a WRX too. Besides, I'm so so so sick of seeing WRX's, dozens of them every day and they all sound like farts, every time I see a GTR roll by it puts a smile on my face.
 
I said in the game... the ATTESSA of the GTRs in the game are mapped quite poorly, i'm disappointed because i know the GTR can carve rings around a scoob, but it's kinda stiff in the game.. in stock settings
 
Why not compare NSX-Rs and GTRs they're an equal opponet (sp?)

and this poll is quite crazy because GTR is waaaayyyy faster than WRX STI

I know tomatoracer has the credit for fastest Skyline but it's in a concept car....
 
I agree, though, that the ATTESSA AWD is poorly modelled (if at all...), as it just doesn't feel like it is there at times, but I find that the Skyline feels much more like a FR car than the WRX.

In effect: the WRX drives like a FF car (lots of understeer) with extra traction out of corners, while the Skyline drives like a heavy FR car (some understeer) with more traction all-around.

I've no doubt that the Subaru can beat the Skyline on any twisty track in-game, but that doesn't make it feel better.
 
I voted for the Skyline because of it's famed reputation. It's not called Godzilla for no reason.
 
I voted skyline, on the basis that it simply moves outof the impreza's leauge when the two are tuned. stock though the impreza would probably be faster. I know the stock R34 makes 330 hp and the impreza makes at least 300 but maybe more, so I dont know.
 
I agree with nismo4life, you cannot compare them cos they're totally different. In my opinion though, even though i love imprezas, the skyline is better on the road, although the impreza kind of wins on the rally comp!

Obviously. WRX is built for rally, GTR is build for GT racing.
