Subaru is my favourite car make, that's why. :)

Understood but I feel same way about Evo's.:) My fave is the VIII MR GSR,I respect the Subies though.:)
But to be honest I hate the Evo X as it just doesn't feel the same as the CT9A and CP's before it.:grumpy:

Hmm, this one is hard for me. I am partial to the Evo, but man, that boxer engine and the exhaust sounds it makes are a thing of beauty to me.

Both cars have their history and I respect both, but for me the all-time champion will be the Impreza. It simply has much more substance and character. The Impreza is on a kind of it's own. The Lancer feels too plain and flavorless.

As for handling, the Impreza gains my respect because despite having a 50-50 torque split that technically should make its handling terrible, it does behave very neutral on tarmac. The Lancer, feels to numb and predictable.

Offroad, both cars are almost the same. The Lancer is actually very enjoyable and it feels tremendously light. The Subaru is "Imprezive" as well.

I used to love Lancers back in the GT series, but since GT5, it's Subaru all the way.
The Spec C 04 is amazing, and on a stock basis, it will outshine any other Lancer or Subaru production car in the game, on the track (not 1000m).

One of the few genuine rival cars in game. The number of cars in GT5 without their fierciest rival is far too high. AC Cobra with no Ferrari 250, being just one of many examples. Without turning this into a wishlist, what great two Car Rivals are in game? Roadcars only.

Viper vs Corvette?

But we all know the Viper wins that one :sly:

Mäkinen raced also with subaru. (He actually holds record for 4 door sedans in the ring with standard imprezza sti)

But I would take Lancer. I love SAYC :)

True, but that was very late in his WRC career. He's more well known as a Mitsubishi driver, from the time these road going rally cars first started appearing. I always preferred McRae and the Impreza, so that would be my choice.

Love both but the impreza has a slight edge I reckon... mainly because of the characterful boxer engine and like some others Mcrae>Makinen.

Will always choose Scooby... thanks to the late Colin McRae. Despite having a deep respect for Makinen and Ralliart, there was the impression to me at least that Tommi was a bit... boring, especially in comparison to the artist that was McRae. It's the same reason I don't really like Loeb, but love drivers like Latvala and Solberg.

So rallying has informed my decision. The newer WRX's don't look as good as the old ones, but I've never been a big fan of the Lancer styling anyway. A 22b Impreza would be possibly my first buy if I came into a lot of money...

Hate 'em both.

This is like the Mustang vs Camaro.

No, no, NO LOL! The Viper did have the edge for a majority of the time when it came to performance, but in the past, oh 5-6 years Chevy really stepped up its game to start edging out the Viper, especially on the racetrack. The Corvette has always been known for being the better track car even if the Viper had more power and torque.

I think it will be quite the rivalry again when the new 2013 Viper makes its debut though.

Boxer engine nice sound
Lancer always feels a bit - dull

I perfered the Celica GT-Four/Corolla and Pug 206 in WRC, over the LanEvo and Scooby, while they raced together.

I've always liked the Impreza, but have lately been found myself liking the Evo more and more. I don't know why the change of heart, but given the choice, I would probably still go for the Subaru.

In all honesty, I'm sticking up for the viper cause it's my favourite car. But they are both even. Each kills the other in different areas 👍
