Imput lag and lock up freezing....

...Thats it, Im know oficially waiting for Dirt 3

What a shame because it seemed like it had everything I wanted in a racing game, Im just gald I waited for the user reviews (the reviews that really count) before buying it .
 
Good idea to wait! I was suckered into pre ordering. My thinking went like this:

"Hmm... This is Ian Bell and the gang making a sim, and they've told us they've pulled all the stops this time - surely the one thing they can't possibly botch is the physics, control system and views. This has to be a safe buy."

Yeah...

A shame indeed, because the game has great potential. Let's hope for that imminent patch fixing the important issues (that is, not the selection of rims, or the livery editor etc., but the driving apects and the stability). I really want to like S2U - actually I think I almost do, in spite of the killer-lag... Oh the torment. Just fix the lag and I know I'll like it :)

It's already improved by having more rally.
 
IMO dirt 2 only flaw was a very short career mode and that seems to have been adressed. The graphis are also IMO the best Ive seen in a console game (better than GT5 mainly because of the shadows and alive enviorments)
The physics where not bad and the FFB was ok, but overall it was a very solid experience and a very addictive game with very little bugs (I only got it cheap and last year so I dont know if it had any bugs on release)

So even if the only improvement is more cars and more events I really cant go wrong with this one, unless they start doing like PD and dropping got features the game had.

Now about the imput lag on Shift 2 - I tryed the game at a friend house and it seemed to be a very fun and good game overall but the imput lag completly ruins it, can it be patched? is there any fix for it on the console?

Dirt 3 can be EXACTLY the same as dirt 2 and as long as it inludes more actual rally racing, the group b cars, and less ken block bs i'd be happy!
 
Had one of my best races in a long time, and the daggum game locked up, so demotivating. I mastered all the turns in one lap, next thing i know, i hit the finish line and the screen freezes for like 3 seconds then it stutters and finally the sound shuts down and the screen stays stuck. hurt me soul...
