well here is the deal, i have been in these forums since 2001. i kinda like it here, but recently agrivation was a main concern to me. moderators and members alike, members like Famine, Mr. Dictionary, and Capt Illiterate have been aggrivating other members regarding gramatical errors. and alas, to my despair i fell a victim to such scrutiny. i mean, last time i checked these forums where about GT and everything fun that entails it.
beleive me and i am not lying to you here, but i am using a dictionary here so that this thread won't be shut down like the one i started earlier. ClicK Here
it all started with some comments, then in avery weird change of events i ended up arguing about grammar. only two guys, Kaniyodrift, and gt3freak_2001 stuck to the subject. the rest was me taking the agrivation from mister famine in a sarcastic manner, and if you read what i said you would understand. even vat_man on his website mentioned that this site is not like it used to be, but then he turns arounds and shuts that thread for no apparent reason!!Here is Vat_Mans Remark, scroll down

all i have been doing here, and it is becoming so lame, is have fun in one thread and defending myself in 10 others. why because i bunp into other members who are so uptight. guys please give me your opinion before this thread get's closed like the other ones in which i discussed such agrivating actions taken by other members and moderators.

I'm too lazy to understand "i think we should agree don you see the carz blue" into "I think we should agree; don't you? ... See that blue car?"

It's not uptight, it's convenient.

I'm just going to comment that this forum is not a democracy.

Let me get this straight - you put a thread in the GT4 column entitled Blablblablablaaaabbblllaabbllaaa!, with one of the most incomprehensible opening posts I've seen in some time. The thread degenerates into a squabble about grammar and spelling, straying well away from both whatever the thread was supposed to be about, and the general topic of GT4.

And, given all of the above, you wonder why the thread was closed!?!?!

And another point - if you plan to use my quotes in an argument against me, at least have the common decency to quote me correctly - the quote was "Not quite what it used to be to me'. Nice dropping off of the last two words to completely twist the meaning.

AND yet another thing - this ain't a democracy.

Here's two points for future reference:
- sometimes threads get closed. Life goes on.
- if you have any queries as to why a thread was closed, PM the relevant mod. Going about it the way you did will stir up the kind of reaction you got, and create a negative impression about you both in the general community and amongst the moderators.

if i were you i wouldnt argue with the mods. you probaly might be banned. dont end your life on GTP because two users got on your ass because of some spelling or grammer errors. no one is perfect, keep the in mind!

sorry if you get mad at me.

i'm sorry man for using you as an example, but here is an example how bad english looks like:D
and there is a proverb i thought i would share it with you guys:

" i called the living they did not answer, so there is no life for the living"

maybe i'm being up tight, but i guess most of my posts show how i don't take things too seriuosley.
i guess from now on if i have any essays that need revising, i think i'll bring'em over here.:D

Much better...

You're Hired! 👍

Well, vat_man pretty much hit the points, but I'll add in a couple pennies...

All that we ask is that you make on-topic threads that are at least somewhat deep/meaningful, and make comprehensible and constructive posts. That's all that we ask. Posting a thread called "Blablblablablaaaabbblllaabbllaaa!", and filling it with the blabber that you typed, indicates that you can't do any of that short list of what we want to keep up a good, meaningful forum that people can learn from.

If you want to spurt random nonsense, go to a chat room – There are plenty of them open for your enjoyment. This is a forum, meant for organized, constructive conversations. If you're familiar with "Wiki"s, it's actually quite similar in concept, with the added benefit of getting to know the people who contribute. Point is, you wouldn't post "blahblahblah" on a wiki, so don't bother doing so here.

Lastly, not to burst your bubble, but since this is not public domain, it isn't a democracy. This site is run by a very generous man who puts an insane amount of time, energy, and money into this site, and in return, all that he asks is that you and everyone else follow the rules he developed in the AUP and TOS. That's all he asks. But again, many of the threads you've created don't follow some of those rules, so you're indicating an incapability to follow those simple rules made for a privately-owned domain.

Again, if you just follow those rules, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. And, judging by how many people use GTP everyday without incident, it shouldn't be terribly difficult to follow those rules, should it?
