With the talk of paid DLC what does everybody think of selling advertising in the game just like they do in real life?

I think it would be cool to see billboards/signage along the track. They could also do the pit crew uniforms. I don't see a problem with it...doesn't bother me at the track or watching on tv. If it keeps the DLC free I'm all for it.

They already do have real world advertising all over the place, like x number of sports games or other racing games, doesn't mean the DLC won't be paid for.

Except Nissan would buy up a certain track then want tolimit events to Nissan only etc.

No thank you - we have enough brand driven control of our lives.

If the in-game ads are relevent to the event and not an eyesore I am all for it. I do not want to see some huge in-my-face ad for justin beiber crap at turn 4 when I am racing at Laguna Seca.
:yuck:

GT5 has more in-game advertising than any other game ever made. In fact the entire GT series has been riddled with in-game advertising. Get NISMO, AEM, Brembo, Michelin, etc. to sponsor DLC. I'm sure the GT series has sold a car to at least one person...indirectly of course.

I knew all the names of cars on the road when I was a kid because of GT and other racing games, they're huge advertising tools. Despite this though, game makers still have to pay to licence the cars.. (As far as I know.)

I would be all for in game advertisements, as long as they actually exist in real life. If they start NFS Shifting the Nurburgring I'm gunna crack the disk in half.

I hear you. #@$% ads. Bad things happen when you let these companies get a hold of these spaces. The Nissan example is a good one.

Just imagine racing a Castrol Supra JGTC in a track bought by Pennzoil...
