BANG
It's reported that Ralf Schumacher was involved in an accident on the way home from the Essen Motor Show. Despite being allocated a chauffeur he apparently elected to drive himself and drove his BMW into the back of another car. Damage was minor.

Whew, I'm glad everything turned out OK. I guess the other car just wasn't going fast enough for him? :D

Oh the press love this sort of thing, don't they!

Allegedly, Ralfie accused the German police of showing everyone else preferential treatment, and asked that for his journey to his mother's for Christmas, road orders be invoked to allow him free passage.
;)

HEAD'S CONCERNS OVER SCHU JUNIOR
Williams team chief Patrick Head has expressed concerns over Ralf Schumacher's driving.

Head, technical director at Williams, told Autosport magazine: "At the beginning of 2001, we were very impressed with his approach.

"The fact is, though, that he's had two years - 2000 and 2001 - when the junior team-mate started the season behind him and finished it in front. That is a concern for us, but it must also be a concern for Ralf."

The German was forced to play second fiddle to team-mate Juan Pablo Montoya at the end of last season as he struggled to repeat his top form. And in 2000, Jenson Button was the man overtaking him in the latter half of the year.

Schumacher, brother of world champion Michael, is seen by many as a potential world champion but has yet to fully justify that billing.
