In order for PD to read this, please back me up if you want this too... NO HUD!!

Turn off the HUD, yes or no, or partially?

Okay, i know there are "i wish" threads out there.. but PD really needs to see this, so just simply post or sign if you want this as well.. im not whining about more cars, more tracks, more this and that, damage or better online.
Those updates take time, i fully understand that and i will not discuss that now.

However, the HUD is a annoyance to me and to others.. it's the simplest thing for PD to update, it could not be easier yet they still have no option for it:

DISABLE THE HUD

Maybe partially, or the entire HUD.. but just the option to turn everything off would be really, really great!
I drive in the cockpit view for realism, yet the big dials and meters on the HUD really take the realism away, i find them disturbing and all i want is to turn it off like i do in all my racers.

I am 100% with you, and i always asked this, since it's by far THE EASIEST FEATURE TO IMPLEMENT in the game.

I don't want to see stupid course layout or rev meter, i already have the engine telling me when to shift and i already know the course.

It's all about giving the player more option.

While it's already a pain in regular views, driving with the cockpit view this is just downright absurd. Why do i need the stupid rev meter and the speed display if i'm driving in a camera where i can see the real thing inside my car?

I just don't get it, it's a simple feature that many games have, and it's a great way to make your driving more realistic, not to mention that it helps you apreciate the graphics a lot more.

We have to keep asking because it's pretty obvious that don't listen to us. Having an extra option wouldn't hurt, and since it's so easy to do...

Maybe on the "big fall update".
 
I agree 👍, I want a option to disable the HUD... when in "In Car" view it just ruins the whole look because I already have all the real dials etc etc...

But im sure something like this will be in the final GT5. Having said that GT4 didnt have an option... :nervous:

it would be nice to have the option yes. for me i would like an option just to turn the track maps off. i like a lot of the other stuff, but i have the courses memorized. no need for the map.
 
I agree 100%, the HUD when in cockpit or even bumber cam etc etc...just looks messy and for various cars the rear view mirror (kind of important) is obscured by the course map or a whole paragraph of lap time info, I mean I'm not driving to Scotland and if your looking at the map your not looking at the important stuff like driving.

GT5 is a visual treat and I'd like to seee more of it PD!
 
Yes me too i would like the option to disable it and track map etc.
 
Some cars would need brighter interiors though or you can't read your own dials. I'd like this though.
 
I like the HUD and I use the in car view as well. For them to remove it they have to make the some cars interior dash more bigger to make them viewable. But I don't disagree with and option to turn it off, theres nothing wrong about everyone getting what they want.
 
I agree as well, I drive only in the cockpit view & the amount of crap on the screen is really annoying. Especially the circuit map sitting right where the rear view mirror is. If they gave an option to totally remove the HUD or select just the bits you want of it, it'd be much better.
 
I'm in agreement with this 👍 Though I do understand we need the option for it, personally I'd very much like the option to disable it.
 
Could we put a poll up so we can just vote!! This would be the easiest to relay the desire to P.D.for the option to turn HUD off YER?

Front bumper cam driving, because my brain can’t cope with 2 wheels. Full off probably not, but customizable for only what is needed yes.👍
 
Yes, for me, I would really love no hud, just cockpit. Only number of lap and time shortly appearing after finishing one, and that would be all. But it would require some cockpits like F40 to reveal the shadow detail and be able to see the gauges.
 
👍 I'm all in for this, I really like to have just me and the car. Hope this option will show up sooner or later.
 
:)yep, count me in too!! although would like the option to toggle the map on/off. sometimes i like to see where everybody is on the track(eg how far i am behind!!!!)

infact, come to think about it i would prefer some sort of tickertape style race info scrolling along the bottom like you would see on tv with placings and times... that would replace the map.:)

I would definitely welcome this option.
I rarely even look at the info, only the map but that wouldn't be a big loss.
In GT4 I always raced without the map.
 
Hell yes I agree with you. The option to turn off HUD would be great, especially for the cockpit view. :)
 
i agree wid y'all. there should be an option to turn hud on / off, but i think you should be able to leave the MPH on but have this an option too. so please PD add this. Remember, you can't go wrong with options- they keep everyone happy ;)
 
PD should copy other games and make a fully customizable HUD where you can switch all parts on and off. Or maybe just an option that removes the HUD fully for cockpit view.
