Here is my 4.6 cents worth.

I dont know how much space a profile takes up, but why not look at deleting the hundreds of zero-post profiles. They may even be in the thousands. All they are doing is clogging up space somewhere.

An inactive profile takes three, maybe four kilobytes.

It's not an issue.

It's the same in terms of PMs, but the reason Talentless was advising people to make sure they tidied their PM boxes is that it's quite frustrating when you try to send someone a message and their PM box is full.
