incompatible host

I wanted to host a photo shoot yet the other person received the incompatible host error message trying to join my lobby.. Then I received the same message trying to join his lobby.. And yet again when creating a public lobby..
What is the cause and how can I get this to work?.. I have done several photo shoots before and never run across this
 
I get it every now and then. It clears up after a few hours.

A few things that occasionally fix it for me are - Restart the ps3, Restart the router, Set up your internet connection with your PS3 again, manually set the IP and DNS.

If all else fails, give it time.
 
I think the Grand Turismo 5 sever was down this morning. I had friends try to join my room, they couldn't connect to my room. Then i tried to join there room i also couldn't. The sever seems to be fine now:).
