Screw hybrids.....

I think that the R246 pit is quite hard to miss, because it just suddenly opens out there, and you're going too fast to turn in. And also sometimes the AI swipes the barrier on the left.

The easiest ones are the R11 and GVS pits.

Although it wasn't in GT3, Grindelwald in GT2 had the hardest pit.

It was a REALLY short pit lane in the middle of a great big long stretch of road. You had to brake quite a bit in fast cars otherwise you'd go too fast to stop.

But in GT3:
Easiest pit: Grand Valley Speedway/Tokyo R246
Hardest Pit: Monaco
My fave Pits: Laguna Seca Raceway/Monaco/Trial Mountain

When i saw the title of the thread, i thought that this would be another thread on the retarded AI pittting on the 2nd to last lap.

Here's my little aggravation in pitting. Rome 2 Reverse. The Auto Drive accelerates you out of hte pit, and you've got to have the brakes on before it lets you take over. The Auto Drive always shoves you into the far wall with no chance to control the car.

its hit and hope with trial mount. but flezerbizky i totaly disagree hybriding opens up a whole new channel in gt3 once you have finished:)

tm2003 - true... You can have HOURS of fun watching the AI trying to control your hybrids - in the pre- and post- race parts AND in the pit lane.

I had a 6000hp FR Speed 12 hybrid. The AI SPAN it in the Super Speedway pit lane exit... D'oh! Good job I hadn't hybridised reverse gear into a 7th... :D

The Apricot Hill pit stop divider is downright dangerous.

*zooms around the corner at 150 mph on the last lap*
*sees yellow divider front and slams on the brakes*
*smashes into divider anyway and finishes dead last*

There is also the entry on Trial Mountain II. It is like threading a needle.

And entering Laguna too fast. The AI won't brake in time to get around the corner and then take 10 seconds to get you going again.

Someone mentioned Rome II reverse coming out of the pits. What about the entry to the pits on Rome ?

if u go into that pit at 210mph or over u won't be able to stop, u'll pass ur pit and keep on going and go into the race again!
uuummm.....i was doing close to 250 around the corner in my RX-7 LM today, and i drove full throttle (about 255mph) into the pits....and i didn't have this problem once! i pitted twice i think, both times i just went full out throttle straight into the pits....both times completed perfect pit stops...

i had the throttle taped down cuz it was a 20 lapper so i can't exactly brake :D

Heh - I always forget it's on the back half of the track. Often I'll be planning on a stop and sail past before realising I've missed the entrace. The record for that is four laps in a row - AND I got into the back of a car exiting the pit road....

Yup - just like it is in real life...

The worst one is Deep Forest - who hasn't crashed at the ultra fast left onto pit straight and ended up accidentally making a pit stop.
:banghead:

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw the thread. It's annoying!

Inconveniently placed pits? Grand Valley. :banghead:

Zooming around the last turn at approx. 250km/h, miss apex, run wide, slam brakes, hit divider. :banghead:

GV Reverse has the same effect on me too.

Yes, that's quite annoying... :irked:

I don't like the pit at Trial mountain because the entrance is hard to see.

I hate the pit at Super Speedway because it is way too long...

 My friend figured the best way to past me was to draft off me going into the turn. It was d@m^ funny to see him start wide right only to see him go left in the rearview mirror and disappear. After much cussing on his part and watching the replay I was surprised to see the draft pulled him so hard across into the divider.
