Incredible mistake by GT7! Victory robbed

Hello everyone,

I'm new on this forum and I hope someone can help me on this.
I'm playing Gran Turismo 7 on PS4 and I have just finished the race Touring World Cup 800 at Spa Francorchamps.
After one entire hour of racing I classified first, with my car just ahead of second.
However, the computer incredibly classified me as second with a 0.867 seconds delay.
I have saved the replay that clearly shows me finishing first with my whole car completely in front and I saved also a screenshot of the final wrong classification.
I will try to load here both screenshot and short video of the final seconds of the race.
Does anyone knows how I could get support from PlayStation and/or Polyphony to restore my victory and credits won?

No matter what, this isn't going to happen.

But I am intrigued, as I've done this race quite a bit (it's my favourite of the "grind" races). I wonder if you had a penalty you hadn't served yet (which a replay won't show)...

No penalty at all, not on the last lap at least.
After a rain shower I was running on inters and so was the car in second place.
At the last lap I decided to continue even though my tyres were almost completely dead. The car in second place pitted for new slick tyres.
I spun at least 6 or 7 times during last lap, completely losing the gap I had built. Last spin happened at bus stop, with the opponent that had reached me.
I managed to accelerate and pass under the chequered flag just in front of him with my complete car ahead.
The final classification however, showed me as second with a 0.867 seconds gap!

I think I have loaded the screen and the video here, can you confirm if you can see them?

Yeah, they don't show any relevant information at all, and they're not screenshots but photographs of the screen.

But only an actual live view will show what's going on. If your game and console are still on and it happened in the last hour you should still be able to use the Share button to retrieve it.

Second looks exactly close enough that if you got a one-second penalty they'd finish 0.8s ahead...

It propably is a penalty that was applied on the last stretch of the race, though this is just a possible explanation.
The final result screen should show this if I remember correct.

Making use of the console record and share feature would paint a clearer picture, also using the consoles screenshot feature as explained in the above link instead of taking photos with any camera.
While you could also use the ingame replay feature, you cant share races with a too long duration - im not sure you could save only a certian part of it as a replay.

Also dont bite your tongue for a "robbed victory" but instead look at it the fun way: it was a very close finish and next time you will do much better with the knowledge gained

The only time something like this happened to me the AI car had entered the pit around the time I finished the final lap at the 700 Le Mans race. I was definitely across the finish line before the AI car would have got past going down pit lane.
