Incredibly frustrated!!!

So after hearing all kinds of advice, & troubleshooting with a tech from sony for an hour yesterday, i still cannot play gran turismo online. It just doesn't make sense. Going online to the sony store is no problem, it just will not download the update that i apparently need to play online. Same thing with call of duty 4, 30 seconds into the online battle, i get booted every single time. I mean what else can i possibly do?
