I see allot of people hate this race. I can't include myself in that category. I thoroughly enjoyed this race, and wish that Daytona has included in the endurance series!

I was bored out of my mind on this race... I did it primarily in two sitting in the formula gt with hard racing tires. Most laps were ~40, lowest ~39.4, took a total of roughly 2 hours twenty minutes (sorry didn't keep details)...

I was so bored I would do silly things like weaving back and forth, or trying to ride those inside corners off the track at full speed.

I also stopped paying attention (road hypnosis at ~220mph?) and ran out of gas... luckily it was as I was rolling into the pit when it happened, so no harm done.

No competition? That's up to yourself. The LM and group C cars in this race put up a mean fight unless you bring an FGT or X1...

They go very slowly around the bents while you can turn at full throttle.

I really looking forward to do the Indy 500 but had not the time yet to do so.
Already bought the 908 HDi FAP to make it happen but I guess the 787B is more fun.
What did you do to it, any upgrades ?

Almost stock... Just that 20k rigidity improvement and soft tyres. The trick is in tuning the downforce, suspension and gearbox exactly right.

Sleep-drove through most of it the first time ...
Same again the second time ...
And the third ...
Got to next xp Level and never intend to do it again. Most boring race in the game!

Oh, and in one race I hit another car coming into the pits and got a drive through penalty!
It went straight through the pits without stopping for fuel or tyres and I had to do another lap then pit again for fuel and rubber.

I used an x1 and rubberbanded the controller, checking in every 20 laps for a pit. I would have liked a Daytona 500 much better.
