i did it with the minolta as well. won by about 15 laps or so. it was great fun when i thought i could let the tyres go and still be able to do a lap or two. baaaddd idea. still fun though haha.

Did it 2 times, and I did enjoy it quit well. My first thought was that it would suck for going round and round and round....:scared: But it was fun doing it in the Minolta pitting around 25-27 rounds for new tyres. I took a little break for a fresh drink and continued because ì wanted to get over it as quickly as possible. But hotlapping was quit fun, I got a perfect slipstream for a whole round the track and managed to get a time of 38sec. Second time for me was with the 908 hdi and just cruised around after figting the first 2 stints(until round 55) then i had a decend gap and stick with that.

It is a nice enduro.

Bastard! (JK JK LOL) I personally think that Longer Gear Ratios will save you fuel... I haven't checked for changes in Fuel Economy with Longer Gear Ratios, but I useally got around 35-40 laps on a tank of fuel while in 6th at around 6000 rpm average, considering that it is a 100 liter fuel tank and one lap is 2.5 miles... then that means: (35-40 laps = 2.5 miles) * 35 or 40 = 87.5 to 100 miles every pit stop... which in turn gives us: 0.875 to 1 miles to the liter! Wow, check that out, eh? (Max Downforce, gear ratios to Max Speed = 480 KM/H)

Still have to do this one... just for the Jag.

I really don't fancy driving in circles for 2,5 hours.
Might use FGT or wait untill i have a X2010

Did it with Bob's X1... took me about 2 hrs with one 20 min. break after lap 100... Not a fun race, but the Jag was worth it :)

I bought the Jag, and now I found out you can win the damn thing as a prize!:crazy::crazy: Oops! I should of checked as it wasn't cheap!!

I need to do one or two more laguna seca races till this event. But I am not looking forward to it at all. I can see myself dozing off halfway into the race.

Just take a break every 50 or so laps, oh yeah and think about that XK13 that is waiting at the end of those 200 laps :) I will be running it again in a few days to get my second one :dopey:

I've done this race once in my Peugeot 908, took 2:30 hours. Done it a couple of times in both A and B spec with the x2010. All taking about 2 hours. Never took a break once.

I used the Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II that I bought a couple weeks ago. Started on racing softs and was 2 laps up at the first pit. I tried switching to hards thinking that would get me more laps before pitting again, but they seem worse. I guess from slipping more in the corners? Came out of the first pit more than a lap down, and never got more than half a lap ahead again. Tried soft on front and hard in back for a while, and that seemed to work pretty well.

Between falling asleep a couple times (I play late at night) and tire issues, I was as much as 2 laps down. I don't remember spinning so much when you let the tires go too long in gt4..

I had to pause it 60 laps from the end to go to bed and finish during lunch.

I had the final pit timed just perfectly to end the race on the very last bit of the tires. They were smoking a lot around the last two turns, but not yet spinning me. Unfortunately, lost by 2.1 seconds.

When I redo it, I'll either do the soft/hard tires from the start, or soft/soft all the way. Probably do some tests on Like the Wind Indy first.

And going just a bit off topic, I was a little steamed when I used that Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II to win the Dream Car Championship, not having checked the prize car list before spending over $4,000,000 to buy it. And it won't let me sell either of them. And the 1.07 patch hit before my co-worker got his PS3 online for me to gift it to him..

Not to show off obviously, but R10, no tune-ups, ABS and ASM both on to avoid any speed advantages, SRF off and medium tyres. Won by 16.7 seconds.:sly:
