Indy grinding vs Indy grinding

So you can grind the American Championship Indy and the Like The Wind Indy for the same money.
I run the American Indy in an '09 Chevy Corvette ZR1 RM and run races at 3:50 seconds. This is with no racing line and driving around the middle of the track (like your mind is going numb.....grinding daydream mode).
For Like The Wind I use an X-Wing...drive it the same way...and complete the race in 2:45.

American Championship = 97,600 cr payout / 230 seconds = 424.35 cr / sec
Like The Wind = 70,000 cr payout / 165 seconds = 424.24 cr / sec

If you have an X-Wing that you don't mind using as a grinder (I do, I use my red one ) then The Wind will make the days go by faster if you're looking for a car in the UCD while grinding. - I use mine for grinding an Indy 500 Enduro once in a while.

Still though, the C6-RM costs less to maintain and wins more $$$ in less days....and if you extrapolate out the time spent in between races being less for the vette (because it takes less races to make 'x' amount of $$$) then the American Championship becomes the better grinding value.

i dont drive on indy, i race all the series with a differant car everyday. i pick a car, start on beginner and work my way as far as i can only minor tuning untill i really need to full upgrade. you waste your time driving left turns? try to enjoy the game. youwant cr for cars you never drive

Take a maxxed Honda Beat/ Cappuccino/ OFC-1/ AZ-1
=> 2:47-2:55 for 3 Laps => 101.700 Cr. (??)

Gives you the most money.

3.45min. - 70.000Cr ~ 1.100.000Cr per hour

I go to bed & can cash in the next morning 8.000.000Cr + 2-3 Ticket 1000's 👍

Today I have been grinding eifel seasonal with a fully modded RM cappucino with the DFGT and DS3. I have to say it is light years better than grinding american indy. Much more fun at least for now and takes about the same amount of time. Bonus: I like how the RM cappucino looks, which surprised me. Glad I did the RM.
Gotta complain though, I love GT5 and have been playing for months and don't plan on stopping anytime soon but it saddens me that we the players are reduced to solving math problems to figure out how best to get the money for the cars we want and then have to spend hours and hours doing the same thing over ane over : ( I understand the concept of having to earn the cars but it really could have been applied in a better way. My biggest complaint with the game I think.

Maybe with a new X2010. My one has now 128000 km (79535.512 mi.) on the clock.

The thing is so down i had to fine tune it to win the race over a long term.

You see, now i would do this, but you don't win any cars, so for me, there is no insentive. I do the seasonal events instead, try to win, with a slower car each time.

+1 but also to add, get a cappuccino RM. It almost goes flat out, the whole track, with the right setup.

Mines got 70,000 miles , but it still does pretty quick laps. but haven't used it for A-spec in about 2 weeks. Just made level 40 b-spec yesterday(grinding Like the Wind). Its still being my mule for all the races i didn't do.

...I like the Honda Beat with a big 'ol wing, stage 3 engine and turbo...and a sport exhaust for sound quality.....131 hp.

Had lots of fun with MOVE CX '95 upgraded and rated at about 150 hp. Always 1st, with lots of fooling around in the tracks.
Had made me enough money to get that Formula Gran Turismo, just to realize that I cannot drive it

I just do the Dreamcar Series in either A- or B-Spec. It's nice cash and I don't mind the wait.

By a hair's breath! However, I do most of my "grinding" in B-Spec; fire and forget!!!

To me the "best value" is the Dream Car Championship in B-Spec. Get it started, go do your thing, check it and start the next one, go do your thing. Finish and you've got 800,000+ Cr. and did't have to sit and "grind" it out; but check it every now and then.

I let my Bob's drive the SPEC II in B-Spec Indy grinding (American Championship). Start the race...go do stuff...collect 97k and restart the race...go do stuff...etc.

I like a combination of both, but in the end, I prefer American Championship to Like the Wind, mainly because racing in American Championship is more fun since it's not as easy, although to be fair, the few times I've used Corvette C6 ZR1 RM were great fun once I learned how to tune.

I've outsourced all my grinding with the remote b-spec thingy. THe concept is moronic, but I shouldnt complain as my bobs are making me xp and cr without me doing anything.

Why don't PD just give us all a daily dose of money and xp? It would be much fairer, and network usage would go down.

Yes, the K seasonal is the best value...but it'll go away.

Someone mentioned using the Cappuccino RM and I said that I prefer the Honda Beat....well, the Beat gets the job done quicker because you can load it up with more power....but the Cappuccino is so slow that I can actually drive using the cockpit view. It doesn't slide through the turns so the 'shaking cockpit torture' doesn't come into play. - I just wish that I could adjust the seat height because where they have me sitting I can't see over the steering wheel. (it's like a 10 year old sitting in Dad's car).

.....in a very long time, or not at all(no closing date), look how long the other seasonal events have lasted, they are yet to dissapear. They are indeed A-spex extensions....without the prize car

I've tried just about every car available for American Championship except the 2j and Corvette zr-1 or z06 both are faster by about 1 sec. than the GT Spec II thou the Gt's handling can be tuned easy to drive. Just my opinion!
