Okay, so i decided not to go with the tracks you would see on most posts in this OLR section, because we need a little bit of variety. Dont get my wrong, i LOVE the Nürburgring, Tsukuba, Suzuka, etc. But, being from California, i want to use one of our tracks! So here it is. The challenge is to run the Infineon Raceway Sports Car section in GT Mode with STOCK cars! Guidelines are as follow:

- Race vehicles are allowed
- Road vehicles (including tuner, concept, and regular road cars)
- Absolutely no tuning or modifications are allowed, UNLESS you are using a car from the used lot, then you can do the chassis refresher! yay...
- Oil changes ARE allowed because i dont consider it a modification. its more of a maintenance thing.
- Vehicles that already come with adjustable suspensions, transmissions, etc. may be tweaked to your liking!
- Tires are restricted to the sports category, i.e. S1, S2, S3 tires for road cars, and R tires for the racing vehicles.
- Standard OLR rules apply: 2 tires on the track, "rumble strip" counts as part of the track. Now, i wont allow wall contact, but if you take out a cone or two...more power to ya 👍
- Times are to be posted as follows: time/car/HP/weight/tires/name

Okay, on another note, im not sure what im going to do with times set by rally cars yet, but i guess imma put them in the race vehicle category till someone complains :dopey: Also, on that note, there will be two seperate leaderboards: one for race cars and one for road cars. Okay ladies n gents, enjoy the drive!

Heres a time for you al, car was Stock and without a Oil Change.

1'22.408 - Ford Falcon XR8 - 608BHP - 1350KG - R3 - East

thanks for the time east! I might go against my will and use a race car  don't really want to tho...but if I do, I would use the Audi touring cars or the BMW 320i Touring car...:trouble:

I think I will try the Suzuki GSX-R/4:).

Edit:
Ok I got a time with my Suzuki:)

1:42:590/Suzuki GSX-R/4 '01/175HP/640KG/S3/AngelCreator

This car is bone stock, doesn't even have a oil change:).

Edit2:
Heres a new time.

1:56:032/Ginetta G4 '64/91HP/454KG/S3/AngelCreator

Again bone stack with no oil change.

anyone else wanna join in and post a time? :boggled:

I know this will sound a little weird, but I have found that this part of GTP is
not as lively as it use to be. Because it use to be at any one time you would
have at lease 5+ threads that would be going at one time. Maybe people just
don't want to do spot race's any more, which would be sad:(.

yeah, I've noticed that as well. I was surprised to see a few hot threads get passed up. but o well, whadda ya gonna do. kk, updating right now. thanks for ur time btw! hehe. hopefully this thread will be as successful as my first one, I'm sure you remember it angelcreator..."Hot Hatch Showdown at the Ring" :)

Yeah that was fun:), I think now I will try some race cars. Just don't know what one's yet:idea:.

I'll roll a few cars out here tomorrow since I'm all warmed up on Infineon this week.

👍

Ok here are some race cars for you, both are bone stock with no oil change or setup change.

1:28:093/Lister Storm V12 Race Car '99/602HP/1438KG/R3/AngelCreator
1:30:721/Opel Calibra Touring Car '94/427HP/1040KG/R3/AngelCreator

I think I will try some more cars later:).

updated! so...I kno 1'34 is slow with the Zonda, but I just wanted to get a time in...anywho, thanks for the times buddy. haha, hopefully the leaderboards don't remain with just the three of our names: AngelCreator, East, and my own. haha, iight. I'm out. peace

Here is another time from me with a 100% Stock Ginette G4

1'55.880 - Ginetta G4 - 91BHP - 454KG - S2 - East

Fun car, very oversteery 👍

Great idea alrivers, but I have some questions. On race cars can I use only R3 tyres or can I put there R5, or I only can´t read:dunce: and the tyres must be that ones their on when I buy the car. And the second question is can I race with rally car, because I want to ride with it, so it wouldn´t be a problem??

Production Car-Stock/with oil change only (no tuning points on this car)

1:34.080 /Ford GT Concept '02 532hp/1451kg/S3/Gt3Emperor

Sectors Times:

T-1=20.490
T-2=1:00.978
Lap=1:34.080

This is with just a few laps....not worked to the max....still some room there.
I try another later...👍

no, there's absolutely no problem. you may run the rally car as well with any choice of racing tires. it will just be placed in the race car leaderboard. also...Gt3Emperor, nice time with the Ford. I'll have to take the Zonda back to the track and bring it ahead of its american car rival. hehe, this reminds me of when Top Gear was comparing the Pagani Zonda C12S 7.3 with the Ford GT and the Ferarri, whose model designation I forgot. too bad there aren't Ferarri's in GT4, hah.

So here is my time with my lovely Stratos.

1'34.684/Lancia Stratos Rally Car/277HP/880kg/R5/Mad Max 3

iight, so mad max, I added your time in! how does that stratos drive btw? I've never messed around with it. anywho, I just had to take the Zonda and the 330i back to the track. little improvement with the 330i so far, but I was able to find 2 seconds with the zonda. there's still more room, but imma try some other ones now :sly:

That Zonda is pretty high on the 'real' world Nurburgring Production car times also, so it will probably be pretty good here in the 'virtual' world.:)

I'm looking for another production car that can run with this crowd.....I'll be back when I figure it out.

Ok...I just noticed your new Zonda time.....good run ! I'll have to defend the Ford's honor....I can't let that stand.

You're on!!!! 👍

*edit* 1'36.499/BMW M5 '05/518HP/1715kg/S3/alrivers
the M5 handling characteristics are spectacular. everytime I did something right, it would oversteer coming out of a turn and all it would need is a quick jolt of opposite lock to get it goin straight again. its very capable of at least a 1'34.xxx. but, I don't think I can do it at the moment. anyone else wanna give it a go? hehe

I thought I had more room to move forward with the Ford GT, but I had to sweat a little just to get a half second improvement. I'll try that again later.

Meanwhile, I 'll have to check my garage for something to retake the top spot.💡 :)

That looks like a pretty impressive time considering the weight of the BMW.

I put my New GT FORD time in my previous post, if you didn't notice.

yeah I saw it. I'm about to update, n then...imma pull out a car in the game that will be quite a handful...check later for the update :)

Okay....I heard that....hmmm?

Well, when I parked the Ford GT in my pit stall.....another piece of American Iron was sitting there waiting for me. It seems this car company is quite active in racing even though their stately reputation would tend to indicate otherwise. I drove the car and discovered that it's kind of a 'ringer'.....it's got way more racing heritage than one would expect.

I really wanted to save this car for later, but we must have that top spot.:sly:

1:31.040 /Cadillac Cien '02/798hp/1450kg/S3/ Gt3Emperor

T-1=19.791
T-2=59.442

I wonder what he's bringing out next....hmmm???

excellent work! I must admit that I underestimated the cadillac a loooooong time ago. well, I must go win a few races before I can pull out a possible winner...note that I said POSSIBLE...lolz. anyways, excellent work Gt3Emperor!

Yeah, That caddy is a real sleeper....maybe you should separate Concepts, tuners, and special model cars from the regular Production Models......but that entirely up to you. I'm have fun regardless.👍

Ran the cadillac's little cousin, Buick. A Fun, wild ride.....it makes a cool replay to watch and listen to the V8 roar.

T-1=20.555
T-2=1:01.694
Lap=1:35.087

There's one more crazy car left.....the TVR Speed 12, but I'd have to buy a new one unless you can remove the wing. I don't know if it can be removed ?

I'm going to run a Racing Model before I quit tonight....hopefully one strong enough to take out that Aussie Car...Ok...I have one:

Racing Model

1:19.580/Dodge Viper GTS-R Oreca '00/627hp/1150kg/R5/Gt3Emperor

T-1=17.687
T-2=52.343
Lap=1:19.580

Well, it's 8:30 out here in the east, so I'm done for tonight.....I'll check you out tomorrow Alrivers

1'19.400 - Ford Falcon XR8 - 608BHP - 1350KG - R5 East

T1 - 17.114
T2 - 52.147
Time - 1'19.400

Had to put the Aussie car back on the top step :)

nice work u two...I'm still workin my butt of to get the Zonda back on top...but, its a toughie. also, Gt3Emperor, I already tried the TVR Speed 12. its tough to keep it goin where u want especially without all the stability and traction assistance. u can try, but the best I got was slower than my time with the M5. I might try it again later tho...ill update soon...tonight for sure!

East:tup: Good show....I'm too tired to answer back tonight, but we'll see if we can put some American Iron on top of the heap tomorrow.:)

Yeah, that figures with that wicked handling Speed 12. I'm going to find some sharper tools tomorrow....I had fun, see you guys later.

Wow look at all of these posts, it look like this thread has taken off:).
Anyways I have some new times.

1:33:890/BMW 320i Touring Car '03/261HP/1140KG/R5/AngelCreator

I didn't get the oil changed, but I did change the settings because of the low horsepower.

1:14:656/Nissan R89C '89/922HP/900KG/R3/AngelCreator

This car was just setting in my garage covered in dust so I thought I would get it out and drive it;).
And with all of these fast road cars being used I think I will try one:).

Edit:
Good time with the Ginetta G4 east:tup:.

so yeah, I could've done the Pagani time about .5 seconds quicker, still no match for the Cadillac, if I hadn't gone WOT on the last turn and spun the wheels. :banghead: welps, I'm satisfied with that time. so I'm gonna put the Zonda to rest a bit. hehe. before I end this, I wanna thank everyone for their dedication. this thread, as AngelCreator said, just took off. welps. enjoy!

nice effort there, alrivers.....thumbs up
----------------------------------------------------

In some circles, the word is thought to describe a sad, funeral-like mood observed by naturalist and animal lovers around the world when a rare Tibetian panda dies.

Actually, "pandemonium" aptly decribes the wild bedlam that erupted in the Cadillac pits when they realized the attempt by the alrivers Zonda would fall short. Cadillac's resurgence as a performance car powerhouse is an achievement they've envisioned for many years.

Well, I'm just a driver, and I find it hard to get emotionally involved with the makers of the cars I drive....my motivations tend to be more visceral. That's why I'm about to get back into this Oreca Viper Race Car and put my name back on the top of that division.:dopey: (a little humor to charge up the challenge)

New time:

1:19.023/Dodge Viper GTS-R Oreca '00/627hp/1150kg/R5/Gt3Emperor
T-1=17.581
T-2=52.186

1:33.851/Tommy Kaira ZZII '00/578hp/1000kg/S3/Gt3Emperor
T-1=20.381
T-2=100.903

I hoped the ZZII would be a real runner, but it's a bad understeering car. I couldn't really use the power because of it pushing to the outside under power.

Maybe you should have a separate division for the 2-seater prototype Racing models ???
