What an interesting concept! I take it that it's a Viper Concept, but I have never seen it before. You say that the Infiniti reminded you of it, maybe you did so because of the round shapes and the GT-esque feel it gives, no?

It's the Dodge Viper Defender used in the TV show "Viper".

it's from a TV series that promote the viper when it came out in the 90's. It's designed by Chrysler themselves.

yep, the round shapes kinda reminded me of it.

Thanks, both of you. :)👍 It is curious for me to know that there was a promotional Viper concept, I am more familiar with concepts like the Copperhead. Nevertheless, it shares a few similarities with the Infiniti, albeit not many.

Speaking of the Viper, you know what else it reminded me of? The car from "Spyhunter".

exactly, i bought the ps2 version because it reminded me of the viper

I think this Infiniti VGT would be good as a spy car

Goddamm, it is! "Nowhere to Run"'s car looks almost the same! Well, at least that gives that horrible game a redeeming quality (alongside the ability to nail people with Rock Bottoms)...

Perhaps if Japan ever makes a spy movie that occurs in the future, they can consider the Infiniti?

1. The Nissan 2020 does not have a center exhaust. Thats a hole in the diffuser. The exhausts exit from the front fender openings.
2. Rear aero has almost a double deck diffuser on the Infinity. Completely different shape as well.
3. The rear wing on the 2020 has endplates but the Infinity is shaped like a boomerang with no endplates.
4. The rear 3/4 panels on the 2020 have a round edge and drop straight. The Infinity has more rounded fenders on the rear that form a 'closed' body unlike the 2020.

They dont look alike. If it was a Lexus it'd be "looks like the Toyota VGT".

Well that's your opinion which you're entitled to, but I'm still not interested. A GMC Acadia & Buick Enclave don't 'look' the same, but they're both the same design underneath, and that's what I'm seeing here with Nissan & Infiniti.

I think the only one I'm really interested in anymore, is Ford's with that 'open-wheel' concept.

Well, when you are talking about brands from the same familiy, it is easier to use the same mould for both models as opposed to create a whole new one. I guess Infiniti may have taken that approach, but other companies could do differently.

And personally, I am still interested in many more VGT models. Alpine's Le Mans hommage looks neat; Ford's open wheels bring back memories of the "Hot Rods"; Lamborghini (they have no sketch yet, I know) simply cannot create a "common" concept, not with the cars they have created in the past; and despite the very likely odds that it wil have an electric engine, Tesla's super car also interests me. What I want to see in this project are brands that are willing to go the extra mile and create interesting, unique concepts that still follow the VGT's rules. GM did it by being as bold as possible. Let's see how the others will do it...

Yeah, because we can all see what's underneath just by looking at studio renders in poor lighting.

Yep, just like you have proof from Infiniti that this is a complete 180' from the Nissan VGT. ;)

My point exactly, I'd probably have more interest if they (Infiniti) brought-in the Q50 Eau Rouge concept like BMW did with the M4, I have more interest in that honestly, and we already have lots of GT-R's :sly::lol:

Let's wait for the full reveal before we can make these claims, ok? We can't deduce much from a darkened picture. ;)

I wouldn't mind having the Q50 Eau Rouge, but this works too. And besides, this isn't a GT-R, it doesn't have a Nissan badge. :sly::lol:
