There is a rumor of it coming over here, but I wouldn't put much weight in it. With the surge of drifting games coming over here, there could be a chance.;)

here's a few....

ign.com is an american website, so there could be a strong chance to see the game in THE USA....

Yes..graphics dont exactly rival FFX or halo, but the game play is exactally like the arcade version.....usless you dont have the logitec wheel. game play will suck untill you get your upgrades...............much countering till then

its like balancing a elaphant on your back, hehe, control is reall simple and the control forces you into drifting like the arcade version, tough with the analog HIGHLY SENSITIVE,theres not much countersteering involved when turninig (>_____>) a small con to the great manga mode offered.
the stages acurately portray the manga story line with the DC5 and the *cappacino. but not to limit them to just racing sequences, for instance, balancing the cup of water and driving with iketani till his pysch-out meter goes up. \"\(^.^)

do u guys know when is it gonna come 2 the us ?

and yea, even though i got a Initial D card from the arcade , how can i put it in my ps2 if i got initial D game for my ps2 ?

will there be a Reader Divice or something ?

Keep dreaming flipboy. that idea is just a dream till someone pushes sega to make one.

as for ID in US..... the antisipated date was Set. 2003...but apparently not..so......not sure anymore.

here in california there was an anime convention in anaheim. i played the game over there, one downhill race. the physics of that game are tight and the graphics are nice, and if i'm not mistaken it is supposed to be released in december. butthen again we americans have to be agrivated all the time when it comes to games and release dates, we are being treated like lab mice, we only take what they give us..................
AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
when will they ever release W.R.C. 2 and W.R.C. 3 here in the u.s.
why all that bull shiat. why don't they sell multi system game consoles, then we can buy games from anywhere and don't have to worry about when. those mathar fackars........
that's it i'm pissed now......................................

Import one from Japan :)
It's a fun game, it's different than GT, which is fun for me.. since i've been playing that game for a while. The initial D PS2 version lets you train at home, then you go to arcades to kick arse! :D

It does help you remember the layout of the courses. and get a head start on the V2 courses if you havent had it out in your local arcade's yet like me :(.

I do the same, i learn all the course so i can kick arse at the acarde. :D

redsuns: it does help u remeber the course layout

I played this one on a Arcade once i was in holiday in Italy (near Venice) and, exactly as you said, the physics on a steering wheel aren´t that realistic. BUT the night BATTLE atmosphere certainly IS :)

i drive a nissan skyline r34 and i got the full body kit and the exhaust i got far i beat the first 4 levels and it gets harder i keep crashing into this one wall while raceing k.t.:banghead:

Belive it or not im driving a Civic Type R........beating all the stages in 3 tries or less ;)........also an FC, EvoIII, tureno + capaccino. i like em all...............still gata work on being faster though.

IF!!!!! Inidial D: SS ever came to america.....it wouid porobobly be all ****** up....just like the US Anime.

No, it would probably be like all of the American Version 2 arcade machines, which are almost exactly the same as the Japanese version of S.S. for the PS2 execpt for the fact that everything is in Japanese.

I am up to Bunta, too, but I just can't beat him, so I have stopped playing for a while. No matter how perfect I drive, he just flies right by me.

i need to beat K.T in Akagi, Touch in Happogahara and Tak in Akina, n then, after i do that, i race Tak on Irohazaka, and if I win- i get my free game with Bunta :)
