I've had Enthusia since it first came out and just found this board. After being annoyed with drifting in GT4 (and it seems to be harder than any other game possible with AWDs) and a bit bored with Forza, I thought I'd check out if there were others who enjoyed playing this game. Then I stumpled upon here (within the GT community after lurking for who knows and never knew there was a board for this game) and so decided to share some fun times.

This vid is a bit old and I used a digi-cam and a bunch of patience, but here's a compilation I mad. Some C&C is welcomed. My capture card should be coming in within a few days so the vid qualities will definitely be better soon-after.

Enjoy.

Nice job -- the video quality is surprisingly good considering the recording conditions...

Personally, I didn't like how you spliced up and re-arranged the races; although that does prevent the video from being "just another Enthusia replay video," it made it difficult to see who was winning and how well you did against the AI. Also, there were several "freezes" during the video...I don't know if that was intentional, or just Media Player playing games with me, but either way it was distracting.

Your driving and drifting is good, especially considering the disadvantage of AWD, but there were moments where you should have been driving more carefully, and there were some drifts that could have been cleaned up.

In any case, nice "Initial-D-style" video, and welcome to the Enthusia forum. :) By the way, we have a thread dedicated to Enthusia videos here, including videos by Mr. Deap, MikeCUK28, Tortus, GarouGT, rotary_freq, and myself, and some art by GarouGT. :)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah my driving could be quite a bit better- but I'm still getting used to the wheel I got. Driving with that is alot more complex than I initially thought- seeing how I used to always use the analog. But it does bring into perspective how well I would have been driving if I was drifting/running that stage IRL (I'd get my arse handed to me against a real driver).

About the frames freezing, it was my 1st time attempting a video so I have a lot to learn in that department.

Thanks again for the C&C. Now I gotta see if I can do alot better than the last. :)

Your video was very nicely made, congrats.

This really reminded me that Enthusia should have more of those tracks, so we don't have to cut the video to make it look like another track...

Nice vid, I need to find some way to get the replay I just made uploaded.

AE86 (Red, because I don't like the Silver or White as much) down Dragon Range, doing Zero and Minimal Countersteer Drifts.

Really makes you feel like a bad ass.

I will add your video in my thread, like that people won't pass their time searching video's in the Enthusia threads.

THis is my only video of AE86 on Dragon Range, though it's not a drifting video, but a Time Attack one.

Ah yes, proving yet again that Drifting, while cool as hell, is not faster than riding the limits of adhesion, not even in an AE86.

My fastest full drift lap is about 4:00 flat.

It's very cool looking, but like I said, I lose a lot of time for my showiness.

I really need to edit like 4 of these runs together, make one bad ass AE86 Drift vid.

I will definitely agree with that. I've attempted a few grip runs myself, but somehow I always end up drifting around certain bends. I suppose its an old mentality thing where I feel that certain corners can be taken faster using that method.

For uploading files I usually go to putfile. Granted its free and you get like 25mbs of space for vids.

And Mr. Deap, thanks for adding.

I have a question for everyone though. Currently I'm using Windows Movie Maker and I'm searching for a trial secondary program to add some more effect to my vids. What would you suggest?

I kinda have a script written out that I'd like to use, but don't have the effects necessary.

My fastest run on DR is 3:29. I know it can be done faster than that lol. For grip, what is usually the best settings for springrate and damper?

I got Studio 8 that come with my graphic card. I'm sorry that I cannot help you on this one. By the way... the run with the AE86... the car is stock.
