Input lag really isn't lag?

I've got the PC patch too and the lag is definitely gone and I don't need the 'minimod' dll any more. FFB is also better and fixed for rolling starts, so is the car sticking :)

I hope it gets to PS3 soon because you guys really need it and will really love the game with it!

Shift 2 lacks steering assist filters in the controls, which, even though people bitch and moan about them in Forza and don't notice what they're doing the rest of the time in GT and Forza, it's what makes drifting controllable and easy.

Same with steering. People find Shift 1/2's steering 'twitchy' with a pad, but it's because the inputs aren't as filtered, so pressing the stick full left/right will cause full lock pretty quickly, unlike in the other games.

Shift 2 has the slowest reacting steering rack in any game I've tried on PS3, so that can't be the reason for the twitchy steering.

The twitchy steering for controller users is due to the steering lock of the cars being set up for wheel users. Dial it down to 10 for much better control, otherwise half a movement of the joystick will translate into 450 degrees of wheel turning --> extreme twitchiness!
