I have seen a few people saying its like 11 gigs, and you can install the whole game. I dont see where that option is. Can someone help me here?

Install disc 1 like you would install any Xbox 360 game. Press the "Y" button on the 1st block (game block) (under My Xbox) on the dashboard and choose install.

Thanks, never did that. Still new to XBox.

After you install disk 1, follow what the booklet says to install disk 2. Basically you go to a menu in the game and just press install disk 2 and follow the prompt

I already installed Disc though...when I first loaded the game.

New to Xbox eh.

Notice how quick leader boards load up?
Just find everything runs quicker on live.
Party chat.

Oh I'm rambling.

I'm also new to Xbox. To me it runs no faster than PSN. But the party chat seems like it would be useful feature.

but anyway. How long do the installs take? I'm going to be installing tonight.

Took me about 15-20 minutes for both discs.

Only about 300 million times faster than PS3 installs take.

Only a slight exaggeration but its so true GT5 install took about an hour and its only about 6gb?

Not even going to get into game update times on the PS3 because frankly its rediculous.

So yeah on the dashboard press Y when you are on the 'play game' block.

Installing every game on the 360 has huge advantages.
Not a gimmick at all.
1. reduces wear and tear on 360
2. reduces chances of scratching disk
3. reduces heat
4. reduces noise
5. reduces some bugs in games
6. reduces load time in some games

I'm installing it right now! Those are some nice perks

Any benefits to installing the first disk on the HDD? I noticed a slight difference in load times for Forza 3, but wasn't that much quicker.

I install every game onto the 360 because I can't stand that loud noise from the Xbox while playing. It interferes with the incredible sounds of Forza

You sir, need to get a good set of set of gaming headphones. I played the game on tv sound then on my steelseries siberia's. Day and night difference.

Read post #10.
Did, but it sounded too generic - i was just wanting to know if FM4 itself had any advantages that would make it worthwhile since it didn't make much difference when i installed FM3. ;)

Hey Vaxxt, I had the same concern as you - when I realized you could install disc 1 on the Hard Drive, I had already copied the content from disc 2...

Just so you know, it works fine to install disc 1 after copying the contents of disc 2.

With disc 1 in the Xbox, boot it up, and when the Xbox dashboard screen comes up, select My Xbox, then highlight Forza 4, and press the "Y" button ("Game Info"). This brings up two options on my screen, the second of which is "install game". Worked fine for me!

Best regards,

_Dave_

Yup, did it tonight. Did notice the XBox is much more quiet during gameplay. Awesome stuff guys. Thanks.
