Ok I've been killing myself trying to find an answer to this but can't anywhere on the net. Maybe my search skills just suck but I've had no luck at all.

How in the world are people getting the instant shifts in GT? Every time I shift (paddles on G27) I get the slight engine throttle dip and red line in the acceleration bar. I've tried dirrent methkds and anything I can think of including religious dances and holy water but it seems to have no effect. Through looking at other peoples replays and matching to mine it seems that it "may" be costing a few hundredths with each shift. When dealing with tenths for the GTA qualifier this can really add up over the long course at Silverstone.

Every "leader" I've ever seen has no lag at all including Tidgney who is using the same wheel as me.

Even if this isn't costing me any time it's really annoying.

If this is posted somewhere else please direct.me to it as I said I can't find anything at all on it.

Sometimes the shift needs slightly longer if you redline it too much. But most likely it's just a visual bug, did you watch your own replay?

Edit: part of this was wrong also :-(

I am not using any aids save for ABS 1.

For the longest time I just assumed this was because people were using a better wheel than me until I watched one of Tidgneys videos this morning and he mentioned that he was using a G27.

The worst kind of kids :D ..
Anyways not all cars have "instant shifts" .. If you are running "wide" gears or a car that cannot have a racing clutch "like the Cien or Speed 12" you will more than likely experience this.

Thanks to everyone who responded here and tried to help me. In the end there is in fact nothing wrong I guess I didn't actually watch my replay close enough. Apparently I was just watching the in game accelerometer too much because in the actual replay it is in fact fine.

Gonna chalk this one up to trying to run the qualifier while also having to constantly discipline the children monsters :-P

Thanks again everyone.
