Oh and gil, I'm gonna try your ratios on my integra but I doubt you got 120mph on the straights, I'm not saying your lying but that's pretty high to me, I would've believe 117 or something but 120. SO i'll try your ratios to see if its true.

Actually, to my suprise you are correct. I ran the replay and my top speed was 116.
I would like to know where you're losing the 3 tenths I found.
I'm tweeking right now, trying to find a good balance between the right top end and the right amount of acelleration.
I also need to find just the right launch RPM to limit wheelspin, without huge bog on the start.

Gil, that's what I thought on your top speed. Anyways I tried your ratios on my integra but they aren't pretty good, don't get me wrong they are good but mine are better. So why don't you post the exact ratios for each gear maybe I got something wrong or something.

Oh [xms_dan], I didn't know you had the European version of GT3, I noticed because you have the kilometers on the huds.Where you from if don't mind me asking. Anywho pretty good run I saw your vid, and I immedietly noticed you have pretty good ratios on your integra, similar to mine.Wanna trade ratios? To see which ones are better. On another topic, about your run. I find it extremely hard to do better then 1'36 but you managed to to even 1'34. I just wanted to ask you if you didn't modifed the integra even further than I especifed. I don't want you to think your cheating but it seem on the vid you got pretty good tires on the car ( other than stock). All I said was that you could only put the racing tranny on the car nothing else. like I said don't think I'm assuming your cheating, just thought the your integra on your vid add extremely good grip to the curves. But if U did it like I said on the rules good for you .

:]

I'm in Southampton, UK. I'm thinking about chipping my PS2 so I can use a version with MPH.
Everything on it is how you asked, after I got down to 1:35 I had to check that they were stock because it seemed a bit too "grippy".

For anyone that wants to try the ratios:

Auto Setting: 18

1st: 4.079
2nd: 2.984
3rd: 2.284
4th: 1.819
5th: 1.515
6th: 1.317
Final: 3.925

I have ASM off and TCS at 2.

Ok [xms_dan], i'll try your ratios to see how I do. But the big question is now, Are you running your integra in the arcade? I said you had to run in simulation in order to have this challenge. Anyways i'll comeback to post times with your ratios.

ok I'm back dan, I tried your ratios. First off I couldn't get your exact ratios, I don't know why 5th gear couldn't get any lower (you sure you gave me 5th gear correctly?), but I got them closer as possible here's picture to prove it.On another note your ratios were good but mine are better. Well to me that is. I just found them to close to each other, and that became a hussle in the curves, if you know what I mean. I drive manual on the game all the time so you see my problem there, I just don't like automatic.

here's the ratios

I did run the track with your ratios though, I run quite a bit, but couldn't get better times than with my ratios here's the pic of my fastest time.(using your ratios)
Anyways I don't know how you got 1'34. Are you sure you run the track in the simulation mode,NOT arcade.

I ran it in sim mode, and they're the ratio's I used, I'll take a shot of them when I get home.
Would you mind posting your ratio's to see what times I can get with them?

ok dan, I'll share my ratios with you since you shared yours. I think you'll like them. I bet you'll get faster times with my ratios. here the are buddy. But I still can't believe you got 1'34 though.
My ratios are pretty good they have acceleration and top end:D

BTW, I ran your ratios on the 400m run and I got '15.6 with your settings, quite frankly that's slow. With my ratios I got the '15.2, which I think is way faster. Just pointing out my acceleration, which I told you about. Also I ran the the 1000m run in '27.506 at 123mph. My settings rock try 'em:p

Hmm, I couldn't use your settings - they wouldn't go low enough :/

Then again, I thought of something... Are you using the Honda Integra or the Acura?

I'm using the Japanese version of it , I stated that in my first post.
I guess the U.S. version of GT3 and the one from UK are different after all.

What I'd really like to know:
Why is it that the Acura, and Honda have the same specs but set up exactly the same the Honda is more than a second a lap faster?
How much would have to be spent (in the game) to make them equals?

hey gil, glad your back. Just wondering if you gotten any better times in your integra?. changing subject do you really believe dan with his ratios doing a 1'34 run, I just find it hard to believe. Also his ratios are weird, I couldn't get his 5th gear right, but says he got it like that in his car. So if you're reading this dan post a picture of your ratios from the game, like me ok. That way we can see you got those ratios like you say you do. Oh and gil, I couldn't understand your post, what did you mean?. Did you mean why the japanese version of the integra is faster than the U.S. version? If you did I know why just ask.:p

Kinda weird, I couldn't use your ratio's either.

Attached image is of my ratio's...

I believe that there's probably a full second or two out there to cut.
If Dan did it, more power to him.
Actually, tires can drop quite a bit of time off. For kicks and giggles (don't post your time) run it with T8's. I guarantee you'll be at least 3 full seconds faster.

I have run the Integras back-to-back. I set them up virtually identically.
The Japanese version is quite a bit quicker. I didn't look at the weights, but I would hazard a guess that the Japanese 'Teggy is quite a bit lighter.

Haven't posted here, because I felt that I got what I could get out of the Integra. I also have absolutely no love for the way we are required to run. I would just rather run true "hot laps." I very rarely get an awwesome launch. That is half the battle with this sort of comp.

Gil, that's why I did this challenge so we can compare each other's ratios. I know that the off the line acceleration is key to a great lap also. Furthermore I would just like to add that the U.S. and U.K. verision of GT are kind of different, I found that very weird. So anyways anybody wanna do the next challenge? You choose the rules now. Oh BTw, I threw in a picture of my favorite car. Hope you like it, I know I do:D

i got down to a 1:32 with the acura one, and a 1:31 with the honda.

i got no way to prove it, beside a screenshot.

anyways, it was with the racing tranny, and the oil change, with like 201 hp. i turned ASM and traction control off.
