Interceptors​

Lobby status:Closed/interest gaining

This isn't a race series per se, but requires a fair bit of skill;


Rules:

THere are two teams:
Cop(s)
and
Racer(s)


the goal of the cop(s) is to stop the racers any way necessary;ramming, spinning, blocking, ect.

But there's a catch: The damage will be set to heavy, meaning any damage sustained will permanently be on the vehicle. This applies to both sides, so you need to use your tactics with that in mind!


Goal of the Cop:
You must stop the racer by preventing him/her from moving for a full 5 seconds. When the racer has been stopped, they must quit the race, and sit in the lobby/watch race.

Goal of the Racer:
You must complete the race, which will usually be very long(3 laps nurburgring or 3 laps SSR7 for example) while the cops try to stop you. You can try to use other racers to stop the cops, but they hold no obligation to do so


There are 2 classes:

600pp

and

700pp


The Racers are allowed to pick any Non-racing vehicle. Tuner models are allowed, but your car cannot be colored black, unless you want to be mistaken as a cop
Bright colors help, and are reccomended:tup:

The Cops can pick any non racing vehicle, but are allowed to use RM-Type models (Camaro RM, GTbyCitroen Race Car), and need to be painted black. The carbon hood is also recommended if it is possible to be installed.*The Gran Turismo Skyline GT-R and Pace Version are also allowed.

*And a score is to be kept:

Cops-
how many Racers have been stopped.

Racers-
how many cars have finished the race.


Now for the rewarding bit:

If your team hits 40 score (Stops/Finishes) That entire team will be rewarded a random maziora/color shift paint; one per person

It would be for most supercars in the 630-670pp range. It doesn't need to be exactly at 700 to be competitive

Are Stealth Cars allowed for Cops as they are Black and strictly speaking not racing cars but heavily modified road and racing cars?

You WILL be listed as a racer, since we already have 3 cops.

Cops can go backwards, but at the dismay and damage of their car, and the car they hit

If it's possible, could I be a cop for 600 and 700pp? As I have all Stealth Cars, which would, in my opinion, look great as cop cars.
If not, put me down as a racer.

Yes, this will require skill. Far more difficult than being a racer.

In NFS Hot Pursuit the chances are equal, but there is more to that game than just ramming. Road blocks, spike strips, jammers, EMP`s, turbo`s, helicopter support.

But i like your idea though, but the cops are going to lose

This certainly seems interesting, so I'll join in with it. I have more experience with the cop side of things from some races I've run in the past , but you said you want more racers and I'd rather be a racer anyway, so put me down for that. No idea what car and PP I'll use yet, I'll update after I decide.

What kind of time do you think you'll hold these events? (Time of day, not date.)

EDIT: I presume that neither side is allowed to make a pit stop to fix damage, correct?

EDIT 2: Mine's BNR34 Skyline GT-R Base '06 - 600pp class (Has 602pp currently and hasn't had the engine worn in, will use power limiter.) Only problem is that when I bought it I chose dark blue, and you can't repaint the car. If the 2 classes run separately, I'll use the car for 700pp too by putting the power limiter back up to 100%.

EDIT 3: Another 2 questions- What driving assists are we allowed? I'd presume anything except skid recovery, but I'd rather check here. Will fuel/tyre wear be on?

I'm thinking saturdays, 6AM PST to 11AM PST, and 8PM PST to midnight (12), and It's every other saturday,sadly

I'l host the lobby, and here's the settings
Heavy damage, no penalty- essential!
No Driving line + No SFR
TCS,ASM, and other assists allowed
Tyre/fuel wear is permenant, I think. I'll turn it off, if possible.

Others can host the lobby, but must PM me about hosting, or the results wont count

EST is 5 hours behind us in the UK, so it should be midday for you.

EDIT: Just had a read of the .pdf file in the OP. It's nice to know the techniques that'll be used against us racers. Do you plan on making a similar file for us racers?
