If the competition is played, i would like to test the motul gtr for the last race.
Thanks for the race guys

I wont open up the signups for the last race, but I'll allow people to race in whichever car they wish, as long as everyone else is ok with that?

We lost Zzxxz again?

He's the luckiest guy ever. He must have disconnected after crossing the line :sly:

Sorry to hear that Joey & Netherdragon can't make the last race though :(

I forgot to save the replay,:dunce: can someone send it me please.:)

I'll do it now, 1 second.

Make sure you follow me & Kyaw for the last one or two laps, we finished less than a tenth apart and we were on each others bumpers the entire time :)

EDIT: There we go :)

Congrats GP, you did well :)

It's been close all season until SSR5, three poor races in a row sealed the deal for me. With a 50 point lead on me, GP has undoubtedly won the first season of the ICGTC 👍

Very minimal chance of me losing second place, a 40-point lead over Kyaw would mean Kyaw would have to get pole, fastest lap and win at Nurburgring GP/F. Although, third place is up in the air at the moment. Zzxxz is on a charge and only 16 points separates Kyaw & Zzxxz.

One final question, do people want next weeks race to be an endurance race, or to stay the standard 60-minutes in length?

for me its all the same, but i prefer the normal lenght. for some reason i don't like the circuit in GT5.

Is the Toyota Yellowhat a good car?

yes it is. Fast, but tyrewear is not evident. On some tracks you win, other you lose. We'll have some time to test...

For me the last race doesn't matter 1h or 1,5h race.

Nurburgring is a zz advantage race, so Kyaw be aware :)

Teach me where to break and which lines to take GP!!

Follow Phil or me on the first lap too, since he knocks me onto the grass at the hairpin. Then on around lap 29-30 I make a mistake coming out of the last sector and go onto the grass losing around 3 seconds which lets Kyaw catch up to me.

EDIT: 48 laps for Nurbrugring GP/F Endurance.

It's a nice track, really :(

Just been doing some practice in the Calonsic GTR, I gotta say, the front tyre wear on the GTR's is horrendous, someone needs to teach me how to set them up for equal tyre wear.

Other than that, the quickest I've managed is a 1:53.4xx and I'm averaging 54's and 55's, and my tyres can last around 12 laps at least.

Quite happy with last night considering everything. We had a BBQ for my sister's 21st so I was stuck "babysitting" the kids (I set the ps3 up for them to race then it was my turn so I joined). I got distracted once at turn 1 after my first stop and by the time I looked back I was facing 90degrees from the track. I also got a head blocking the screen so I ran off on the last corner.
Still managed 2nd, albeit a mammoth gap behind GP and then someone turned the net off 60 seconds after I crossed the line.

yer fair play on the second place mate, just too quick for me on the last couple of laps when my tyres were dropping off...

3 stopper ftw:)
EDIT: I don't know if I can make it next week so kyaw you might be safe.

Ahhhh really? At this rate we'll end up with like 5 people for the last race :(

I guess we'll take it back to being a normal length race instead of an endurance. No fun if everyone isn't there :(

By the way, something I stole from the WSGTC; what do people think about success ballast? Just curious.

Yeah with 5 people underance is to long. at this rate i will end up at the podium :scared:

anyway how can you know if everyone use the right ballast?

I think that's a good idea. But it shouldn't be added weight in the final race so if there still is fight for the win it should be the fastest driver to win and not the lucky guy not wining the race before the final race
(it also depend on how much weight you add to the winner, second and third place, It should be enough to see difference's in the lap times in my opinion)

Oh and I show up at the final race, and I hope as many as possible will do the same :)

set the room to 1200kg, let him go to track, then set the room back to 1100kg and let everyone else go to track

(1200kg was an example)

I don't really get ballast as it could only work if you were doing the same track again.

Some cars/people maybe great at one track and rubbish at the next!

The weight handicap isn't there to win one race or lose one race, it's to keep the total standings more even. Give people the chance to come back from a bad race and to keep it interesting. So if you get a 50Kg because you are good at one track and you are rubbish on the next one. You probably lose the extra weight pretty fast. If you go ahead and win with ballast you keep the ballast.

It's to keep anyone from dominating the series and I think it's a good idea!

Stopping people from dominating the series is basically the point of success ballast. Like someone suggested earlier, we could set the room max weight for each interval of first, second and third and let those people join respectively. Then allow everyone else to join after that.

At the moment I'm thinking about 70kg for first, 50 kg for second and 30 kg for third. Although of course that can always be changed.

But yeah, I think we'll be doing this weekends race at GP/F at the standard length of 1 hour :(

EDIT:

What do people think about the points system at the moment? I think it's ok to be honest, but I'll probably throw up a possible alternative in the coming hours. Also, how about only counting 9 of the 11 races for next season too? Since a number of people have missed more than 1 race.

I think there should be more than 1 point differential's on the positions below 8th, but all in all it work out great the way it is today. Looking forward to see what you come up with :) (if you do so)

Yeah, count the best 9 races out of 11. That's a good idea.

I'm ok with the success ballast thing as long as it keeps a level playing field. (should stop GP getting too far :P )

It's not GP I'm worried about.

If Roy actually participates in season 2 we need something to slow him down :sly:. I'll come to a decision this weekend whether or not I can take the fight to GP in a GT-R, just give me some more time to learn the car. I'll probably spend most of Thursday & Friday solidly practicing for Nurburgring.

Roy came into my room yesterday and did a 1:53.1xx straight off, in a stock Lexus T_T So yeah, not feeling all that confident.

What I am actually thinking about in regards to ballast, is accumulative ballast. In other words, if you finish first and get 70kg of ballast, if you finish 3rd in the next race, you'll have ~100kg of ballast. Equally, if you finish first and get 70kg of ballast, and finish 5th in your next race (a la me) then you'll have no ballast for the next race after that. Just an idea.
