We'll probably go with Suzuka since it's a track everyone loves. If you don't love Suzuka, then you're just in denial :sly:

We do it in rain then? Would be cool to actually do a rain race before the season 3 start :)

This rule changes, we will be able to go one stint on Soft and the rest of the race must be done on something else. Most likely Medium, but it is your choice. (Medium could be a bad choice in heavy rain)

can't we use wets...

your choice maxi

EDIT: I wanted to suggest something about the qualifying procedure.
We should all start in the same tyres, so the qualifying has some meaning... 👍

With only one stint on soft I'd be surprised if anyone starts with the soft, but I could be mistaken

Erik, didn't you already have an idea of what weather settings to use? I'm happy to use weather in this race so long as we have the best settings.

Ive been online all day to figure it out, and I do think skengdigi was correct. If we start with no weather and no standing water and put changeability to 5. But I had it like that for 2 hour one time with no rain and another time it poured down after 15minutes. But I guess that's how "dynamic" weather is like :)

But I will test it during the entire week so I will get back to you on this matter.

We could set Suzuka to rain with very little changeability so we do get "worst case scenario". Since its a test more than a race.

in that case i choose this car

For ProPersian its the perfect car, in case there is no fuel anymore there are some extra options that solve the problem.

Well we have driven on the dry for two season now, I don't know by you guys, but I really don't need to test that out. I love Suzuka, I know it by heart. So if we do Suzuka I do think adding rain would give us a feeling on how it is.
I don't say we do this during races, and that's why I will go through a week of testing, spending quite a lot of time on this for you guys. :)

But I see your point 100% standing water do feel very slow in GT5, but if you check your speed and see how fast your really going on so much water it is actually very fast :)

I've heard someone said its like ice.. then come to Norway I give you ice and they will see its nothing like ice :)

EDIT: LOL @ last picture and comment!

Of course, but there is another Saturday before Christmas :)

And Congrats to us for being the second fastest GT500 championship in the 3d3 event, even after the penalties :) And the guy complaining at Arkano wasn't that clean, I watched the replay and the first thing he does in the final is to try go through ProPersian.

Ok before the new season start and becaus its christmas i want to give you all a gift. It can be usefull in next races. It can improve your racing experience, speed, looks, health or tactics!:)

Yes I think we use weather in this race but ofcourse start it off dry , with the long qualifying that you guys run it is possible to have rain in qualy

To be honest I'm not sure who is in for season 3, Arno told me he would like to join our season 3. But he closed the opportunity to receive pm on this forum. He also got a direct question from Arkano a page or two back and no respond. OK8 said he wanted to join, but I sent him a PM yesterday and I can see he read the message, no answer yet. Not to kick anyone out, but I say we open those spots to someone who wants them and stay around reading the forum.
So the list looks like this (I think):
  1. Arkano6
  2. Netherdragon
  3. Zzxxz
  4. ErikAndre71
  5. Maxitsu
  6. C-Falcon89
  7. IMMORTALPILOT
  8. anastasis14
  9. ProPersian
  10. TEAMRAD_PITT
  11. StretchY-
  12. karolisnaste
  13. skengdigi
If I missed someone please let me know asap. Or if you are on the list and doesnt plan to show next season I would also like to know of course.

Sorry for late reply, but i won't participate in season 3, maybe from time to time i come practice with you guys, if it's okay. Maybe season 4 we'll see.

Hard damage is a good thing for the new season. I just had a season with hard damage and no abs. Needs some practice, but you will have cleaner races. The key to succes is patience to overtake. It also can be very frustrating when you got damage by others.
Without abs, the car feels lot more realistic, but the setups are totally different.
Also you are playing a simulation game, so get ride of the automatic gearbox

An open room is the only way to have almost an 100% lag free room.
Starting all from the pits, not on the track.

Wheather: 0-30 softs, 30-55 intermediates, 60 wets
Starting with surface 30% wet, and put variable on 10, you get dry, wet, dry , wet etc
Means stategy is fun!

greetz,
gp

You are always welcome in my lounge mate :) And if I decide to stay for season 4 I would love to see you back. Not that I'm bored of the game, but maybe I want to use my time to do something else this summer :)

I personally totally agree with almost everything here. I would love to race with no ABS, but we do have some DS3 users and that would be a lot to ask of them. Not everyone can afford a expensive pedal set and it is a lot easier to drive with no ABS with the T500rs pedal set with the modification that followed the pedals than with a DFGT pedal set. Making it somewhat unfair in my opinion. And making it a rich man sport is wrong. About automatic gearboxes I don't care much, its way faster to drive with manual gearbox even with a DS3 so people should decide on using it them self.

This is why we go to a open lobby next season, 4 of us already seen how lag free that is compared to a private lounge so its quite clear. We will continue starting from the track if we do not add a rolling start with a lap were we can get into our qualification place in the grid.

I would actually go on to 35 on slicks (soft/medium) and to 70-75 on intermediates and wet from 65 and up on rain/wet tyres.
I really appreciate the room settings there, will be tested. I also found it more interesting to add some surface water in the start more fun and the room seem to react better to it.

And thank you for the two season we did race together, you been a mentor to me and got me thinking about how to set up my car. I didn't always like your setup, but you made me think in another way and got me do my own setup. I will really miss you in season 3 and do hope you drop into my lounge from time to time. Se you around mate

Sad to see you go GP, it's been fun 👍

Good luck with whatever it is you're off to do :)
