We might do a week without PAL released yet. By that time though I hope to have the judging method decided. Tommorow i'll post the thread for week 1 hopefully.
 
This is an excellent idea, and doesn't have to strictly be based on drifting.

Anyone with a $20 USB memory key can compete.

Because photo mode has so many different options, the quality of the pictures will vary greatly.

I look forward to all future competitions like this, and when I have a USB thing, expect to see my entry.

What will be interesting is that the photo's will be based on each persons' photographic skills, not their drifting skills.

that is a good idea to have some limitations. Definately there should be a limitation on the track I think, but not sure about a car limitation. What do you guys think?

yes, i was thinking more about that last night. if there were any limitations imposed on the vehicles used it could be something like "Skylines only" or "American Cars" or "Toyotas only" or "pre 90's cars only", kind of like the limitations set on the races in the game. just a thought.

This idea actually makes good sense. As long as everyone understands that it's just about the pictures and not how good the drift was.

A competetion like this will really show how creative some people can be with photomode. Who knows, this may even be part of what KY had invisioned when he came up with this mode. :cool:
 
one thing that just came to mind is that this is the kind of thing that will have to be done on the honor system, because what is to stop some self-centered ass from loading up a screen shot into photoshop and altering it further?

Well, they'd have to be pretty good to do that and for all the judges or however we work it out, not to be able to tell. I can "generally" tell when a picture has been altered in Photoshop since I look at images like that everyday.

This is about creativity. Coming up with a new/different/fun way to take pictures of your car sideways. What I'm predicting is that it's not going to come down to the car drifting but how the picture was taken. Know what I mean?

yeah, it will basically be a photo contest that happens to be run by avid GT4 drifters. good thing you could tell the real deal from the fakes, i couldnt! :)
 
Ok guys pretty good turnout so far. I'm working on the Week 1 Topic. We will use voting for this week while i compile the judges. Within 30 minutes it should be up hopefully. 👍
