I cant speak for anybody else mate but I know I've improved since last season thanks to people sharing setups. I was the same last season. I was finishing in the points then I think i came 14th or whatever at Grand Valley Reverse, 1st race this season. It's true that the strength of the field has risen, and with the new fast guys like you its just got alot harder to finish in the top 10.

I welcome all the new racers. It gives me the desire to try to be faster and out-do myself.

I had considered that, but if you look at the results of the last practise race and the first championship race I had solid finishes, then in the next two races I did I was well out of the points. Just did some driving last night and realised I've become much faster since the start of the championship, so unless everybody else (most of whom have much more experience of competitive F1 races than me) had suddenly improved as well, I don't see how it could have happened.

There is a point:

I always train and do my setup-testing in my lobby.online.

But with "very good" setting".And, mostly, alone.

There I can do 1.27.8xyz (Nürburgring/last race).
But in the race I´m always slower! Mostly because the car feels like it has less grip....(full lobby)

Must be related to the number of people in the lobby.
The trainingrace was better. Hmmm.. there where less people !!!!

Cold that be the reason?

Learn driving guy?? Learn driving guy has had a licence since 1990 ok 1 crash in 91 but other than that i think i have learnt. Or are we on about a soppy computer game if so your faster than me correct am i supposed to be bothered?:confused:
I'd prefar an attitude people appreciate rather than having my own thumb so far up my own bottom thank you.:D

BTW I hope your driving is better than the links you leave they are reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally slow.:p

This "beeing better than 20Million" leads to nothing.
Take the last TT: Cas is better than 19,999.900?? ...great.

If I take his announcement for real, there should be no problem running this series.

I actually hoped for some cooling down on his side, but this seems like no.

I would normally of posted this celebratory message on the Season 4 thread. Sigh, but I can't; so I'll do it here.

So please tell me that either the bug is debugged or that you have forgotten.
For me this explains the problems we had in the maxed (16 drivers) lobby!

I remember things like this ^ ^
Some time did happend that someone drove insane fast lap(with same car like all in lobby) 10s faster than everybody else,which was coused by lag...

It can happen that somebody is faster, in some moments, than you and everybody on track...lag thing

I would be glad to join as that is my off day from other series :D. Expecting to be a bit slow as I did not drive this car much, but other then the TT they had way back when.
 
I have just sent out some messages that I am not going to sign up for the new formula gran turismo series.

I would prefer to drive with my Ferrari F10.

If this leauge is going to be Sunday around the same time as before, Im in :)

I do not think Aughablo cheat, I held the same pace as Aug and Immortal on the first laps on the race. And I held the same pace many laps later in the race. I do not cheat or hack!
If im not wrong, Immortal also set best time. I cannot understand why Aughablo should have cheated. Just look at the replay, Augs driving, Immos driving and my driving. It is not much difference. No cars was hacked, I am sure! we have all been very close to victory this season.

The event dates will be the same.They work.

We will do the training race on thursday.Race on Sunday.

During free practice ( or earlier) we can check what we will do in future.

I strongly believe that there will be a championship.

Some thoughts:

-we should race on other compounds than racing soft
or:
-do it like in the real f1 and use prime and option tyres.

-in the second race we should try weather

I also like the idea of the "warm up lap" with a flying start.....

Why?

It is still the close racing we are used to.But now the races are not intersting for cheaters.There will be no "record times" just the good old race winner/chamoionship winner.


What do you think?

I would just like to say that i knew the series would come to an end one day, nothing runs forever right, but i never thought it would end this way.

It is a really sad end to something that was really fun and good. I shall not be taking any part in any of the series because whatever i decide to do, someone will feel betrayed and i shouldn't have to chose between people that i have know for over three years now.

I just do no like the way that people have started to finger-point and pick sides and saying some really nasty, personal stuff about each other like cheaters and sore sore losers. This is not what i signed up for, i signed up to have something to look forward to on weekends and have a bit of banter too and to also meet people from different parts of the world but it looks like that all over now.

People also need to realize that behind every PSN Name is a real person, with feelings, emotions, opinions and different values. Just jumping on the keyboard and saying whatever they have to say without thinking of the repercussions that their words will have on others is not nice.

If by some miracle PD read our old thread and gave us proof that that there was car hacking, what will people that accused aug say then?? And if they proved that there was no car hacking, then what will people that accused IMMORTAL say?? Will people actually apologize for what they said or will it lead to more finger pointing and bullying? So for the record, i do not want to know whether there was car hacking or not, whatever the outcome, it will not achieve anything.

I am not saying or doing this to seek attention, spite anyone or to make anyone feel bad, its because i care about other peoples feelings and no doubt i will get judged for that too but that's ok, i can live with it. I know i have had some issues with some of you in the past but that was only related to what happened on track, if i offended/attacked anyone personally i would like to take this opportunity to apologize. I wish that one day IMMORTAL and aug will forgive each other and move on from this, maybe even start their own league or carry on with the old one.

I wish you all the best in your series and thanks to everyone that was involved, it wouldn't have been the same without each and every one of you. I also apologize on posting on your new threads when you said you did not want to hear about this anymore, but i needed to say what i had to say before i just disappeared or dropped in randomly. My suggestion was to pause the series until PD had fixed the hacking issue, then continue with a clear conscience but that looks like it will not happen.

Well said Art. I like both Immortal and Aug and I'm really sad about this whole thing too. I stand by both of them and think they're both legit drivers. I just wish somehow this whole thing would go away but like you I refuse to pick sides. There are no sides, I think the whole thing is a big misunderstanding.

IP, Aug, Art... I consider all of you friends on GT5 and in real life. :)

Maybe one day all of us will be on the same page together again and be able to look back and laugh about how silly this was.

Edit: And by the way if any of you are in NYC feel free to drop me a PM and we can link up. I'll buy you a beer, or 6, and we can do some racing! Open invitation, I hope you take me up on it friends!

Get a "morris chair" for your living room. Morris chairs, generally speaking, have flat arm rests, like this: http://www.americanfurnituredsgn.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/118_Morris_Chair.jpg

Then all you need is some C-Clamps. You clamp a piece of oak across the front and mount the wheel. Only takes a few minutes to clamp on a piece of wood and mount the wheel to it and a few minutes to unclamp it and it's magically a normal chair again! Best solution IMO.
