Check the list on the first page - you're already down with the final 2002 seat 👍

When do you plan on having this series start? Maybe we could have a warmup race to see how everything stacks up.

If we don't get anymore entries it will be a bit pointless running the series at all.

Starting to look much better now 👍

These are the places still available:
Alfa GTA - 1 place
BMW 2002 - none
Nissan 1600SSS - 1 place
Shelby GT350R - none
Cougar XR-7 - none
Plymouth Cuda - none
Dodge Charger - 1 place
Camaro Z/28 - none

4 rides left.

Despite my screen name, I love the old Mopars. Sign me up for one of the Charger R/T spots. I may regret it in the long run, but it should be a good work out for the DFP.

Difficult decision between the General Lee and a Camaro but i'll grab the last Camaro entry.

so have you figured exactally what settings we have to run for each car?
and if you have what are they?
cuz practice makes perfect

I've not yet finalised the settings - i'm still trying to win the Nissan 1600SSS from the 'Hard' ice race - i just can't find a good car to use for this!!!

I'll be spending time trying to win it early this week, when i do i'll post all the settings, the race scedule etc. I'll also host a practise race to see how it all works - keep an eye out for the post.

Cracker - I'm sorry to say I'm probably going to opt out of my AAR 'Cuda seat. I've been spending all summer running the SWCTC series and I have not advanced my game percentage at all. Unless the races don't start for a few months, I'm just going to be burned out on OLR.

Again, sorry, and it does sound like a fun series.

Don't worry about it Duke, unless someone else wants to join and really needs to be driving a Cuda the seat will remain open for you. Like i've said in other posts, i'm quite happy for people to dip in and out of the series when they have time to race - all in the spirit of club racing!

I've now finalised the settings for all the cars and decided what tracks we'll use. I'm quite happy that all the cars will end up on similar times over a 10 lap race. I've still got my OLR SCCA WTCC race to run at Sears Point for Sunday, and since i'll hopefully be racing at Silverstone this weekend, i'm not going to get my head around creating a new, definitive thread for the season until monday.

Watch this space!

So... Any further word as to when this is to be run?
And have you made a final descision as to tires used - whether it will be slicks or sports?

It will be slicks - i don't want the cars to be totally standard.

As for when it will be run, like i said i'm too busy this weekend to give it some thought, but i'm thinking either mid - late august, or after the SCCA WTCC OLR series ends. I will post complete finalised details early next week.

in arcade mode it will almost have to be sports tires...since the onlycars that it will allow you to put slicks on are actual race cars.

in order to use slicks we would have to run on practice mode in GT mode.
that would work too you would just have to give us standards to use.

I did this post for two reasons.

1. Revive the thread and,
2. Ask a question.

I believe that even the racecars used 2 way limited slip differentials. And nothing annoys us worse than the notorious one-wheel-burnout. Can we use a 2-way? Just wanted to know what you guys would say....

Edit: Sh**, just forgot we're running this in arcade mode... Or are we? :trouble:

Jetboy

i thought they used 1.5 way LSD not 2 way.
allwell i think we might be running in GT mode cuz there was talk of using racing tires.
