Interest Check: Prologue Cup

Hi all!

Now, when we have had the PAL-version of the GT4: Prologue for a while, I was wondering, if people would be up for a challenge. I´m thinking of holding a five-race long cup, using every track of the Prologue. I would choose the car for each race.

Race Method

The races would be hotlap races in the arcade mode. There is no free run mode in Prologue, so we would use the Single Race mode without the AI. You would then send me your best clean flying lap.

Race Schedule

The race schedule would be from Monday to Monday. The deadline would be 12:00PM (noon) GMT. This could be the race order:

Track Order

1. Fuji International Speedway
2. Grand Canyon
3. New York
4. Tsukuba Circuit
5. Citta di Aria

Point System

If we can make this cup happen, 6 or 8 (depends on if I get people in this) first drivers will get points. The point system would be same as in Formula 1.

Rules

Rules would be the stantard OLR-rules. (2 wheels on the track always, etc.)

I think that if you put the AI difficulty to the max, and then no AI cars, you can drive 5 laps on an empty track. You would then send me your best clean flying lap.

If you turn the Ai off you only get two laps, no matter how hard you change the difficulty to. The only tracks you can race on for five laps with an empty track are Grand Canyon and Citta.

What about Hong Kong? :dopey:

I don´t have that cheat tool to get that track. :(

If you don´t find enough drivers maybe you could try to advertise in the GT4p forum?

I might be interested...I tried doing a prologue comp a while ago, but didn't get much interest...could have been because of the car/track combos though: viper at NY, and GT at Grand Canyon.

But I'd say Cosworth choose your car and tyres, game on! 👍

There has to be honesty in lap times, no wall bangs, and at least two wheels on track at all time. Maybe at least a pic of lap time, maybe a vid.

Hey dudes I´m in too....but I´m not so sure about the rules, maybe I`m just stupid or something hehe....No but hey wtf right let´s go dudes!!...But the contest hasn´t begun yet right??....It´s two laps on each track right, and the best time of those two is the one that I should register or send in, right?!

You might as well have the AI on, seeing as you'll pass them on the first lap anyway and the first lap is never going to be your fastest.

I might as well join.

How about we use Japanese 280bhp cars?
 
No AI. You could stay behind for the first lap and then use them to draft. So that´s a NO NO!
