I've been considering organizing a "final return" for the rotaries at Midfield thread. I was curious if anyone was interested in running this again.
1) There will be 2 or 3 classes for each model. One with stock hp, one with full hp and an arcade version if available.
2) No minimum or maximum of entered classes per driver. In other words, run one car/class, all cars/classes or anything inbetween.
3) Mandatory replays for top 10 times. This will make it difficult to get started, but not sure what else to do. Any top driver wants to know he is running against a legitimate run if he is going to put a serious effort into it.
I will need PAL and Max Drive correspondents to help me check all the replays. I can check all the NTSC x-port/shark-port replays myself.
4) I may not be able to update the leaderboard for up to 48 hours at a time. So you might have to wait 2 days occasionally to see your time posted. Replay verification will add an extra 24 hours to this for NTSC and possibly longer for Max Drive or PAL replays depending on the outside help.
5) I threw together a webpage to test a lay-out. It can be viewed here:
http://www.tuff240.com/rotariesatmidfield.htm
6) It will also be posted at several different GT forums (not sure which ones yet).
7) I'd like to try to get Rypien's approval before I go any farther with this. He is the originator of the first "Rotaries at Midfield".
8) Open to comments and suggestions of any kind. This does not gaurantee I will do them.
