Interesting No HUD

I just hope one day there will be no more this ennoying virtual steering wheel...

I managed an 8:38:xx in a stock R34 back when I used the DS3, no map, no line, no HUD, no map.

I then tried to do the same with Endurance races, but the lack of a working Gas Gauge in most cars got annoying. If PD added a patch for working Gas Gauges I would go over to Kaz and give him a big hug, then I would never have to use the damn HUD.

I do it with no map, no Aids (but with ABS 1, for the sake of realism), no driving line, no ASM, and no HUD BUT if I'm driving a premium car, given that I still have the cockpit's display. But if I'm driving a standard, I run on bumper cam with HUD on. It's not realistic driving without any sort of gauges, or is it?

I have to drive with the hud on, I can't see the speedo on almost every car, I'd like to keep just my speed and gear number. I don't need the rest. Most cars that have digital spedos are in kph sadly.

I love it when driving around the ring in a SLS AMG with HUD off. Its awesome!

What I'll do is, i "feel" the speed when I'm entering into a corner.

I hate the HUD, and it's really not that hard to listen to the engine to tell when to shift.

Funny thing...I wasn't going for low lap time, just grinding my ferrari in the seasonal Le Mans for the thousandth time...

It was late and my head was hurting, so I turned off the music and HUD and was surprised at how much easier it was when not constantly scanning the entire screen for time/speed data...Much, much easier to concentrate

Less distractions = good.

YES! This. Changeable time and weather as well, if your lucky it will start snowing. Best GT5 experience (in single player) out there.
