Interesting Problem, Race freeze when loading the FORD GT '02

Just like the title says, when I try to race on the Online Specials, when there is a Ford GT '02, the game freezes when it tries to load the cars.

For example, when I try to race at Daytona during the Stars and Stripes series online, the game freezes on the the Ford GT before I get to the actual race. Has anyone else had this problem with the GT or a different car?

I have backed up my data, however that doesn't seem to really fix the issue. Any help would be great.
 
I done it with the gt, viper, and vette. I never had that problem. Maybe you could try it with a different car.
 
To OP: you mean when there's a Ford GT 02 as an opponent or when you're using the car?

I don't have one, but no problems here with any of the opponents.

Just in case, you better backup your game save.
 
Yeah I had this whenever I tried to use the Impreza '10, in any colour, on any race including the Licence test.
After a while (I dunno, 6 weeks or something, probably after an update) I could use it again, but cockpit view was lost?
I have no idea what caused it, slightly corrupted file, scratched disc, I dunno.

Yea when the GT is an opponent. It loads all the cars before in the opponent list and then will freeze at that point. The background doesn't freeze since you can still see the cars driving around the track, but I can't quit the race or enter the race.

Probably scratched disc.

Nothing even close to this in here. I remember an old thread about problems with specific cars and similar things, don't even know if those guys found a solution to the problem, but you could find something by searching.

Hope you can find an answer soon. Those races are awesome. 👍
 
Clear cache, if that fails and you get desperate delete the install data and try again.

Yea those races look great. I've tried searching but haven't found much about this problem. I guess its data related but haven't had too much time to really dig deep.
