Interior color change after painting?

I bought a SLR mclaren from the Benz dealer in silver because the interior was red instead of grey on the black SLR.

After painting the car the interior turned to that horrid grey color.

Whats up with that?

Happened to both of my Zondas aswell, one has a green interior other has a yellow Not really a big problem though ...

Does the exterior color have anything to do with the outcome of the interior?

I don't know about you but with everyone online driving the same cars over and over again having the choice of interior color should be a good thing.

Yes.. Take for instance the ferrari california as its easier to see.. when you paint the car a particular shade of blue interior is blue. when painted white interior is red i

I bought a Citroen C4 and then won one in the Loed Challenge. They were both the same colour red with a light grey interior. I repainted one with the correct Citroen Silver colour and the interior stayed light grey. The silver car in the Dealership has a dark interior.

OMG

I'm only Level 25 at present & trying to get each & every make/model of car is bad enough, as there are around 1,000...

Then, if you try to get all of those in all of the "official" manufacturers paint finshes, it's gone up to around 4,800...

Now it looks like if you paint/respray them yourself you could have even more variety with Interiors changing colour as well...
