I need help shaving 2.417 seconds of my laptime.

Smooth is fast. 👍

Also, don't cut the corners and over the grass. You will learn nothing from it.

But if I remember correctly, this is the event with the SLS AMG on Racing hards, so you can push the car hard around the corners.
And if you drive as fast as you can, but still smoothly you will get this easily.
